'We had a wonderful experience in Punta Paloma, Tarifa. We were warmly welcomed by the hosts who were available and very communicative throughout our stay. The house was just as expected with a wonderful terrace with ocean views. The neighborhood was quiet in winter but has a very relaxed atmosphere and is great for outdoor lovers. Tarifa is ~20 min by car. Highly recommended!'

'From the moment we booked the apartment, Esperanza was fantastic with communication. She greeted us promptly when we arrived and even helped us with our luggage to our car when we left. The apartment has amazing decor, in an 18th century renovated stone house (no noise other than the wind and sea birds when the windows were open). Rooftop lounge and balcony with stunning views over the entire old town and the Moroccan coastline, and every restaurant and bar in old Tarifa within a 5 minute walk....

'Our stay at Barbara’s beach house was simply amazing. The house is on the beach, so we can hear the waves crashing from our bedroom. The view is stunning from every room of the house. It was impeccable, clean and had everything we needed and much much more. It is not a vacation house, it is a home. Finally, the house is fabulously decorated by Barbara with so many little details, we discovered something new every day. 'Wij hebben er een prima tijd door gebracht. Het landweggetje ernaar toe is even wennen, maar goed te doen. Superschoon en mooi huisje met alles erop en eraan. Wat een rust, heerlijk! Wij komen graag nog 'ns terug!'

'Zeer aangenaam huisje. Onze hond was er welkom. Alles aanwezig wat nodig was. Ligt op wandelafstand van een zeer mooi en rustig strand waar ook de hond kan genieten van zee en strand. Enige nadeel was de weg er naartoe ...je moet een deel door zandduinen die niet altijd vlot door te rijden valt .... De temperaturen zijn in Tarifa zeer aangenaam met wel wat wind (surfstreek) maar die wind was aangenaam met de warme temperaturen. Superfijn verblijf gehad. Ook de communicatie liep vlot via...

'In summary: swimming pool not as described in the ad, rusty and very dirty barbecue, rusty pool ladder, holey and dirty sheets, sticky and greasy dishes, unstable wifi and 6 days without wifi. General power cut when the washing machine is running. No negotiation with the agency and very arrogant call center. So never again with this agency and a complaint is in progress. This is my assessment'

'The house is beautiful and very well equipped. The pool area is outstanding as is the outside kitchen area.There is no air conditioning unfortunately, one of the upstairs bedrooms has no storage at all for clothes and there was a nasty drain smell when the upstairs bathroom was used. However, this did not spoil our stay and would definitely stay there again (air conditioning would be a huge benefit)'

"Ik kan begrijpen dat dit hotel 50 jaar geleden een sjieke uitstraling had, maar nu zie je toch vergane glorie. De kamer was niet proper, ontbijt was redelijk uitgebreid en goed. Buitenzwembad is uitstekend, maar sluit om 20u, wat naar Spaanse normen heel vroeg is. Binnenzwembad was gesloten, maar heb je in juli niet nodig. Dinerbuffet is met 18 euro goedkoop en voldoende keuze"

"Leuk resort, zowel voor alleen volwassenen als voor gezinnen met kinderen. Het uitzicht is geweldig, de locatie is prima, personeel is vriendelijk. Er is vermaak voor kinderen, de sfeer is goed. Helaas was de vakantie veel te kort ;-)"

"I'm glad I changed to this hotel last-minute, since it is very close to the airport and the border. I'm pretty sure I had booked a room with "city view", but got a view of the pool, the Gibraltar rock and the Spanish harbour. Even though it was very quiet in the hotel, they still served quite an extensive breakfast. Prices for drinks at the bar are very acceptable. Staff is friendly, rooms are fine. I noticed that about a third of the hotel is disused and totally blocked off, but I think most people won't even notice. The part that was open was well kept. Recommended for sure. Way cheaper than hotels in Gibraltar and getting accross the border on weekdays (in january) is a breeze. "
