'We had a great stay, the place was extremely clean and the perfect space for what we needed. The fire pit and chairs were a lovely place for us to sit and chat. Everything we needed for cooking was accessible and ready for us. The host was extremely easy to get in contact with, and very helpful. My only suggestion for future guests is to make note of the access code before arriving as there is spotty service before connecting to wifi (no fault of the hosts!). 'Only has partial air conditioning. Limited Supplies. We had to rebuild the firepit. No muskoka chairs as advertised. Two rolls of toilet paper for a family of 7 for 5 nights. Dock was sunken had to lift it in order to secure our boat.'

'Bathroom floors and vanity not clean, sheets on one bed seemed damp, back porch was not clean, many days not clean, sliding doors had cobwebs at all corners, no screen door here, steps from parking to door in very poor, dangerous condition, kayaks were not cleaned off and made ready for use. This cottage had not been made ready for guests. Concerned that vrbo is advertising for unkept property. We wasted time, money, dreams of a wonderful weekend ruined!!'

The barbecue was terribly dirty and appeared potentially unsafe to use, as the heavy buildup could create a fire hazard. In addition, the burners did not ignite properly. The barbecue clearly needs thorough maintenance or, preferably, replacement. The cottage itself was also not as clean as we expected, which was particularly disappointing considering the relatively high cleaning fee we were charged. For...
