General view of a square KM of pasture This whole square SK1939 is rolling traditional and improved pasture with a long established hedge pattern. There are no roads, tracks or buildings of any nature. There are a number of small brooks and neglected cattle drinking ponds. There were a few beef cattle or young dairy cattle grazing in one field (warm day late April 2007), and a white horse in another. Other than that the area is strangely lifeless and not as inviting as it seems at first instance. The whole square is well criss-crossed with public footpaths, but these are poorly marked and obstructed in places. Many of the fields are used, or have been used, by horse cross-country events. The jumps in the hedging appear to be recently maintained. The central feature, Bog Plantation, mixed woodland, is not crossed by a public right of way. This is not the easiest square to photograph, but it was the nearest un-photographed one to my home for my first submission.

Heerlijk verblijf.
Uitstekend hotel. De mensen achterdeur balie zijn uiterst behulpzaam en deskundig. We hebben een nacht bijgeboekt omdat er zoveel te doen en zien was en het hotel een perfecte uitvalsbasis was. There was no hot water on the first night when we checked in at 9 p.m. The place warmed up quickly, but after a rainy day at CBeebies Land, we couldn’t take a shower. Thankfully, everything worked fine for the next two days.
