'We arrived less than an hour before the official check-in. With all our luggage. The room was not ready, ok. But we could not leave our luggage behind for the remaining 45 minutes. So everything back in the car… Breakfast offers enough options and is fine. Dinner and shopping options at the doorstep, very convinient. Clean room. We got a room facing Hwy 30, which turned out to be quote noisy. A large a/c or generator grille next to the window did the rest. Off course we could have asked for...

'I go to Altoona several times a year to attend Altoona Curve baseball games. My first time trying the Altoona Grand was a great experience. The hotel is clean and quiet. The bed was very comfortable. The on site restaurant and bar was a nice touch as well. We enjoyed some good food and drinks after the game. The staff were all friendly and willing to help. I will be sure to book again the next time I go back to Altoona. '

Off course we could have asked for another room, but when you already have settled after a long day travel, not so fine. So all together, we think it is over-rated and overpriced. Not a bad hotel, but room for improvement. "
