'A lovely hotel with a lively bar and restaurant. Rooms was small and the shower smaller but as a one night stop off, adequate. Superb ales and great food offering. All staff were lovely'

'Let me,start by saying all the staff were absilutely brilliant and friendly. Hitel gowever seems to be in a state or ill repair. Paint falling off walls and ceilings. Curtainscthat didn't close fully. Heating was never on and very cold in am. Carpets filthy. Door to my room was in very bad state. Just think whoever owns this needs to get his finger out and invest in the property and staff. Not good.'

'This accommodation is very well located in the Kelso town square and within easy walking distance to pubs, cafes and restaurants.The bakery to the left of the front door is outstanding for home cooked morning rolls and beautiful cakes. Apartment 1 is spacious, clean and has everything you need despite the furnishings being a bit dated. 'De kamers zijn onberispelijk, het personeel en nieuwe eigenaren Allison en Graham zijn erg vriendelijk en gastvrij. Het ontbijt was een prima English breakfast met voldoende keuze. Koffie was goed! Wij gebruikten de locatie als uitvalsbasis naar Holy Island en de Northumbrian coastline. Het strand waaraan dit hotel ligt - Spittal beach - is niet echt bijzonder. De stad zelf is historisch prachtig met zijn bruggen en stadsmuur. '
