'Lovely historic property- complete with all the quirks such as uneven floors, log burner, and a lovely wooden staircase. Great location to get into town too, and really quiet and peaceful at night. I had a lovely break here with my partner, felt like a proper escape.'

'Very pleasant small property. 5 mins walk from central Ambleside. Well equipped and warm. Perhaps a bit small for a family of 4 but great for two people. Nicely decorated with thoughtful touches. Only one parking space but a car park 4 mins walk down the hill. Would recommend.'

'Really lovely cottage in the middle of Ambleside. Parking is off-site about 5 minutes away from the property up a very steep hill which wasn’t made explicitly clear so bare that in mind. There is nowhere to quickly park your car to unload bags or collect the resident’s parking permit so you have to pay for parking first. The showers were nice but honestly quite dirty with lots of black marks (possibly mould) on the shower head and the silicone which put us off using one of them. Besides that...
