You booked a single room, so that's why the room is not so big. It is suitable for only one person. We put coffee in your room every day (and usually more than one, so one would be somewhat strange) . But the most simple solution would have been to come to the reception and ask for more! We do hope you enjoyed your stay in Amsterdam and you will return to our wonderful city.

Aangenaam ontvangst, vlotte uitleg. Nette, leuke rustige kamer. Goede bedden. Iets verouderde douchedeur. Goed ontbijt in een typisch hollands interieur met zicht op het park rechtover het hotel. Op 10 minuten wandelen van het centrum.

O hotel estava em obra. Me venderam com café da manhã incluso mas não tinha. Pedi o dinheiro de volta do café da manhã apenas, me negaram. Não é um hotel legal. Infelizmente fiz uma terrível escolha.

The rooms are very small and outdated. The bath did not have any shower screen and the toilet was very small with not enough room to move. The room had a squeaking floor with outdated carpet and furnishing. The reception area was under renovation with a strong smell of paint and other stuff. The towels provided were smelly. We booked a room with two single beds for 2 nights however it was not available on check-in The hotel staff did provide another room for the second night, however, it was on the 3rd floor for which the stairs have a narrow step so we ended up not using the second room. The hotel is not too far and is close 10-15 walk to the main shopping area/town center.

Great location, quiet neighborhood, about a 15 minute walk from central station. Wi-Fi barely worked, very weak signal, other than that, I was happy with my stay.

Rooms have no phone. Not electrical outlet in bathroom. Closet had only two hangers. Had to walk up 55 very steep winding stairs to get to my room. Place is a fire trap. Light fixture over bed only had one bulb, rather than two as fixture required. Room was not ready at 2 PM, so I had to walk down 55 stairs to advise management since there are no phones in the Room. I would avoid this hotel

The rproerty is perfectly located close to transport, parks, zoo and museums. The staff are friendly. Easy check in and out. I will recommend this hotel because of location, comfort and peacefulness, but not if you need elevator because the stairs are steep.

Good place to stay in Amsterdam
We enjoyed our stay. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good. The room was clean. I have to agree with other reviews I read before, that there is not air-conditioning, which was a little hard when it was really hot, and also those stairs to the upper floors are seriously steep, so if you have trouble with stairs with big suitcases, be aware.

A few qualities make this ideal for an Amsterdam experience. Its proximity to the center, its nestling away from the real busy and possibly rowdy areas, and how nice the people are that run it. There was not an issue getting checked in, or deciding whether to get breakfast, or renting a bike, etc. The stay was easy. You are right next to a large Botanical garden and park, and heading west, you will go directly into the excitement. I was able to use their rentable bikes all day without any complications or hassles. The landlord even made an effort to let me hold on to the key until next morning so that I could use it that night. The room was in great condition. The bed cushioning was average for my preference, but I slept great on it. I didn't have breakfast, but the breakfast room was a grand sight to see. Also, there is a zoo a block away that I missed and didn't go to.

Arrived at 10 am to leave my luggage, informed that my room could be ready in 30 mins, so I was checked in. Room on 3rd floor so steep stairs to negotiate, as expected in Amsterdam. Had no problem with this during my stay. Near tram stop & metro so nicely out of bustle of city centre, but easy enough when wanting to get back to hotel. Staff I met were extremely pleasant & helpful. Room was single small room, spotlessly clean, everything that was needed in room. Very quiet room to come back to at end of busy days. would recommend.

This property is very old, internet is very bad, mattress is very uncomfortable, steep stairs and overall not worth paying or staying. Location is ok and edge of center but look for other choices first

Good location. Hotel has no air conditioning or elevator. Spiral staircase between each of the three floors is very narrow and approximately 18-20 steps. Nice selection of items at continental breakfast.

We loved this hotel and would recommend it. Very convenient to public transport, as the #14 tram stops just around the corner. Breakfast was continental and very good. The owners live on property and are super friendly. they even fixed our breakfast "to go" the night before (and we stored it in our refrigerator) when we had to catch an early train the next morning. Very quiet residential neighborhood. Cafe on the corner. There's a lovely park just across the street on the canal. Perfect for a morning stroll. The botanic garden is next to the park. Be aware that not all rooms have air conditioning. It was absolutely not a problem in late May. Also, we had a cheaper room which involved staying on the top floor and as is typical in Amsterdam, there were steep staircases and no elevator. Still, for the price, this was an excellent hotel. Would absolutely stay there again!

Amazing location in a beautiful neighborhood that is a convenient walk to the center of the city. Very helpful staff. Room was comfortable. If you have mobility issues, ask for room 1 on the first floor, which is a double but a third bed can be added. Other rooms are upstairs, which requires being able to climb fairly steep stairs. We will be staying here again!

Absolutely outrageous to sell what is effectively a tiny converted attic with no proper windows for 150 Euros a night at a 3* hotel. Inexcusable and the risk of getting that claustrophobia-inducing room again is reason enough not to return.

So surprising. You book a room in a hotel called the 'budget attic room' with the following description: somewhat smaller room with a window and no view. The room is on the 3rd floor (attic!) and we have no elevator. So, you got exactly what you booked and then after you complain? For other people whom read this, the budget attic room is the most quiet room in our hotel, it is a nice little room with it's own bathroom. There is nothing wrong with it, it is just small and therefore our cheapest room for two people. What you book is what you get, no more, but no less either. Let it be clear that if you book a regular double/twin room you do not get this room. Only if you book the budget attic room specifically. kind regards, Hotel Parklane

Lo bueno, trato amable, limpio y bien ubicado. Lo malo, habitación muuuuy pequeña (ni entrabamos con 2 maletas), poco ventilada y en un 3er piso por escaleras muy estrechas, peligrosas para bajar las maletas sobre todo.

Thank you for the compliments. We would like to state that your made a reservation for a room called 'Budget Attic Twin Room'. This room has this title for a reason: the room is a budget room (so smaller, but also cheaper), it is in the attic (top floor). Our hotel is usually fully booked, so we did not have the possibility to offer you an upgrade, otherwise we would have certainly offered you an upgrade. So for future guests, please be aware that there is such a thing as the budget twin, which is a super quiet, nice but small room on the top floor.
