Heerlijk hotel welke zeer centraal gelegen is. Fijne ontspannen sfeer met vriendelijk personeel en mooie luxe kamers. Voor ons waren de bedden wat te hard.

One of the best!
Excellent hotel. The score is 5 stars on all levels. Except for the service during breakfast, that is a 5/10. Service employees doesn't seem to be alert and awake. They are forgetting orders, are too late, etc. But for the rest it is an excellent hotel with one of the best restaurants I have even been in the Netherlands (Vinkelles).

Mooi hotel maar ga er niet weer heen
De Dylan is een leuk hotel maar omdat het in de luxere categorie valt vind ik persoonlijk dat er dan niks mag mankeren aan het verblijf. Positief: Mooie frisse kamer Negatief: Elke keer als we binnen stapten dan vroeg het personeel wat we kwamen doen. Na 4 dgn te verblijven mag je toch verwachten dat ze je wel kennen. (vooral in zo'n klein luxe hotel) Personeel was niet heel kundig. Ook omdat we er gewoon uitzien hadden we het idee dat ze ons minder serieus namen dan de 'luxe' mensen die er veel zijn. Men kan op uiterlijk niet in de portemonnee kijken. Hotel was erg gehorig.

Verwacht geen waar voor je geld
Kamer was veel te duur. Geen flatscreen TV. In kamer schuifdeur die niet goed schoof. Douche met sterke wisseling van temperatuur als er meer mensen in het hotel gebruik van maken. Voor de prijs van de kamer verwacht je een perfecte uitgeruste kamer. Wel mooi oud pand. Dus wel een mooi klassiek hotel maar veel te duur.

Fijn Hotel
The Dylan is een fijn hotel op een goede lokatie vlakbij de 7 straatjes, het Leidse Plein en het Spui. Vriendelijk personeel, degelijke kamers en alles netjes. Geen gebruik gemaakt van het restaurant. Er is zoveel keuze in de buurt.

Luxury and Service!
The Dylan was absolutely amazing. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. The staff was amazing, the room was clean and luxurious and the experience was unmatched. We arrived early and they met us with a hot tea and a muffin and checked our bags (which they took up to our room when it was ready) and provided recommendations for our morning. The room was very clean, and comfortable. Really enjoyed turndown service each night. Location was great and easy to walk most places we wanted to go but the Concierge was also happy to help arrange a cab when it was rainy or we wanted to venture further. I wish I could go back again already. Thank you for the great stay!

Aa luxurious haven with exceptional staff
I was in town for business for 4 days and I was incredibly impressed with the Dylan staff. They went out of their way to be helpful, always happy and courteous, and made an effort to say my name when they encountered me. The location is amazing, the comfort and cleanliness were exceptional.

This was our second stay of what will be our new staple for work/leisure. Best location and setting, beautiful building, lovely light and quiet spaces but with a sexy bar, sweet courtyard, and a Michelin star restaurant as well. Very well appointed and designed rooms with quality amenities and large bathrooms. But most of all- it was the best front desk/concierge team I’ve ever experienced in years of fickle travel. They are familiar with their guests and anticipate every need: water, tea, desserts, taxis, reservations etc. They went above and beyond for us when we had a medical issue with my husband, calling in an MD, even sending me coffee and pastries when I was exhausted coming in from errands one morning. And they asked after the outcome genuinely when we returned from the hospital?! This will be the only place I stay in AMS going forward. I hope you are lucky enough to do so as well. Cheers.

Excellent staff, very friendly and helpful. During our stay in July the area is very crowded but still quiet and beautiful to walk around before 9am so gives you a feel for how things are. Very central, easy to walk to shopping and other attractions. Would highly recommend the hotel; we stayed in the new wing and preferred it over the original hotel for its more modern facilities.

Buildings are beautifully maintained and still have some of the original materials. Charming lounge and courtyard areas. Excellent food. Staff was very attentive and responsive. However, I wasn't aware my room would be on two levels with steep stairs (about 15) with a curve at the top between the bathroom and bedroom. I'm in my 70s and wasn't comfortable maneuvering the stairs at night. I didn't like that I would've had to pay an additional 75 euros a night for 4 nights to change rooms.

I can't say enough about how much I enjoyed The Dylan. A great staff. Wonderful dining and bar. Beautiful room facing one of the top canals. Easy walking to museums, shopping, dining. The facility is a unique combination of history and modernity. Altogether perfect from my point of view.

The perfect setting for an Amsterdam holiday
We’ve eaten at Dylan before but not stayed at the hotel until now. And - it did not disappoint! From the way you are greeted upon arrival, the room layout, very comfortable beds and a nice bathroom, REALLY delicious meals and super professional and attentive service - everything just works. Only thing to suggest would be for them to make it easier for people to access the socket for your charger. We could only find it behind a cupboard I had to wrestle with:-). But this is a minor thing. We will definitely come back and we can only recommend The Dylan as the place to go if you want to be spoiled in Amsterdam. Wow!
