'This is a beautiful property both outside and in. The proprietors were friendly and respectful. The pool and patio with the surrounding gardens are very peaceful and relaxing. The house is well insulated for noise. We didn’t know there were 6 other people staying there until we met them in the dinning room for a delicious breakfast. We really enjoyed our stay and, have already told our family and friends to stay there when traveling in the area. '

'This hotel has so much to offer at a reasonable price. The room was incredibly clean and fit our family of 5 without feeling squished. The bathroom had all Dove products (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap AND lotion!) which was a nice and surprising touch. 'We absolutely loved our stay at the Thornwald Mansion. It is nicely secluded in a park yet you are within walking distance to Dickinson College and a shopping center. The property has outstanding amenities and the food selections at breakfast were delicious. The service exceeded our expectations. The room and the bed were comfortable and very quiet.
This mansion went under fire and then was rebuilt by the current owner from the ground up paying attention to detail and preserving its history.
