"I had a very pleasant stay here. The hotel has a great central location at the bottom of the hill, with plenty of restaurants and places to eat nearby. The hotel itself has a very warm and homely atmosphere, with a beautiful traditional family style. It feels like a real old school hotel, full of character and charm rather than modern luxury. The breakfast is good and offers plenty of choice, and the staff are lovely, calm and friendly people. If you enjoy a traditional, old school and homely hotel with character, this is definitely a place for you. One tip if you arrive by car: parking directly near the hotel can be difficult because of Berat’s narrow and sometimes challenging streets. I recommend parking at Camper Parking Berat, which is only about a 5 minute walk from the hotel. If you are unsure where to go or need help with parking, call the hotel beforehand. They will gladly give you instructions and help you out. A charming traditional hotel, good breakfast, kind people and an excellent location in Berat. Highly recommended!"

"We had a wonderful stay at Plaza Hotel Berat. The room was very clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. As an Expedia Rewards perk, we were welcomed with a bottle of red wine waiting for us on the table, along with two wine glasses and a lovely floral decoration. It was a thoughtful touch that made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The staff were exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. They even recommended and reserved a table for us at Restaurant Ajka, which turned out to be an excellent choice. The restaurant offers a fantastic view across the river towards Berat’s famous “City of a Thousand Windows,” making it a memorable dining experience. We truly appreciated the warm hospitality and attention to detail and would happily stay here again. Highly recommended!"

"Never judge a book by its cover! Especially this hotel is a gem in an unlikely location in a back alley. First of all: communication is easy and responsive. No hassle and nothing is a problem: parking spots included, no reservation needed. Friendly and helpful staf! Clean and big rooms with fine working airco, modern bathrooms. But then: breakfast: all you need and plenty more! Recommendable by all standaards."

"Het ligt op een prachtig plekje boven op de berg. Vanaf hier loop je zo naar beneden de stad in. Wel stijl pad, maar goed te doen. Het is een mooi, gezellig en heel voordelig authentiek complex. Opa is er mee begonnen( een echte aanrader!!"
