Deze prachtig ingerichte hut met 2 verdiepingen en 2 verdiepingen met centrale verwarming heeft een open plattegrond met een gewelfd plafond en 3 slaapkamers, 3. 5 badkamers inclusief 2 MASTER SUITES en een loft. Volledig gerenoveerd met hardhout in de grote zaal, eetkamer en keuken. Keuken met granieten werkbladen, roestvrijstalen apparatuur en dubbele ovens. Tegel in alle badkamers. 1e slaapkamer bevindt zich op de begane grond met een kingsize bed en heeft een eigen toegang tot het dek. Dit Master-bad heeft een douche en een jacuzzi. 2e slaapkamer is boven, ook met een kingsize bed. Dit bad heeft een douchecabine. 3e slaapkamer is boven met een koningin en een stapelbed (kan 4 in deze kamer slapen). Loft heeft een tweepersoons slaapbank, dubbele futon, tafelvoetbal, air hockey en mini pooltafel. Houtskoolbarbecue is het hele jaar door beschikbaar voor gasten. (Gasten moeten hun eigen houtskool meenemen). Dek en terras met uitzicht op beboste achtertuin. De woonkamer heeft een gashaard, kabel-tv met dvd-speler en dvd-filmbibliotheek. Niveau oprit en garage voor 2 wagens beschikbaar voor gasten. Wasdroger. Gastlinnen verstrekt. Home is een paar blokken van Calaveras Big Trees State Park toegang, wandelpaden en langlaufen. 2 nacht minimum verblijf / 3 nacht Min. tijdens vakantieperiodes. Geen huisdieren, niet roken. Voor gebruik in de zomer biedt deze hut de gasten de mogelijkheid gebruik te maken van Big Trees Rec. Centrum en zwembaden (GEEN GASTKOSTEN). Nice cabin.

We were very happy to stay at the cabin. It is very good. There are good quality kitchen appliance, plates cups. We were able to find everything that we need and even more. Thank you for extra salt ,seasoning and all the stuff that you usually forget to bring. It was very clean. Very big place and we enjoyed. There are a lot of games for kids. We enjoy staying there.

Great location, easy access. Beautiful home. Very clean overall though some dishes/cookware needed washing before use. Would have liked more room for trash, 2 bags full for a full house isn’t quite enough. Enjoyed our stay. It would have been nice to have a checkout of 11:00 vs 10:00. We made it out but it was kind of hectic. For the price 11:00 doesn’t seem unreasonable.Thanks.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The cabin was very nice. It is advertised as sleeping 11, but that is a bit of a stretch. Fortunately only 7 of were able to come and it was perfect for 7. I am not sure but maybe one of the couches made out into a bed. The kitchen was modern and well equiped. It was nice to have so many bathrooms. Everything was clean except the sheets on one of the beds had not been washed and smelled of BO. But inspite of that I highly recommend it. It was very quiet and peaceful there. Very little traffic going by and it was a holiday week.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was the perfect house/cabin for 3 couples; each of us had our own room and bathroom. The kitchen is big and very well equipped, and we enjoyed cooking in it. The living area is very open with a comfortable sectional and a nice conversation area with two comfy chairs in front of the cozy fireplace. There was a small visual safety issue on the stairs that could be fixed with simply placing a small area carpet on the area, 2 cleaning/maintenance issues, and only one outdated hairdryer, but after our trip, all were reported to the owners for future renters. These did NOT affect our enjoyment of this beautiful property!!! Wonderful location for walking in the neighborhood, too! We'll be back!

Everything was as described, the house was clean, kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, etc. if you will be cooking. The house is light and bright inside with large windows and plenty of space both inside and out. The location was perfect. We were in town for a wedding and chose this property because we have friends in the same neighborhood.The vacation rental management staff was exceptional, great communication, very helpful and responsive from booking through checkout!Definitely recommend The Squirrel’s Nest and Dorrington Realty/Sierra Vacation Rentals. I, personally, can’t wait to go back.

It was pretty hot out but the house cooled down well and the agency bought two fans when we asked if there would be any. The layout is really nice and the kitchen is really well equipped. Make sure you go to Dorrington Realty for the keys. I went to Big Trees in Arnold at first because that was the original confirmation. You also have to make your own beds which might surprise people.

No where to hang clothes, put shoes, store luggage. I had to hang my clothes in the utility closet. I know this is the owners right but they are not taking the renters into consideration. Also the throw rugs and area rug under the couch are a nuisance. You trip on them all the time. The seat covers on the dining chairs are a joke. They come off all the time. The cleaning needs to be done more thoroughly. The carpet under the couch and behind the chest looked like it hadn't been vacuumed in awhile. The patio lights were out but the management company fixed them right away. Sheila was very nice and helpful but I think the owners need to update some things.

Fantastic Snow & Ski Getaway!

We had a wonderful week at Squirrel's Nest! It had plenty of room for our family of 5 to spread out and relax. We really appreciated the garage and that the neighborhood had plowing services. We were able to drive up to Bear Valley 3 days straight to ski and go tubing.

It was clean and well-maintained. We had everything that we needed. The management provided good customer service. A couple of our people went cross-country skiing at Bear Valley. We were able to take some nice walks around the neighborhood. We have been to Snowshoe restaurant and always enjoy their beer and food. Appreciated the fireplace! It's not far from the Big Trees State Park, which we have been to and enjoyed.
