De Matterhorn Chalet is een ruim luxe chalet gelegen in de boomtoppen in het centrum van Asheville. Ontspan, verjong & ervaar het centrum!

Dit is geen nieuw vakantiehuis, maar in plaats daarvan gaat de manager met pensioen na vele jaren van het beheren van dit prachtige chalet. We hebben het geluk om het beheer over te nemen en de prachtige traditie voort te zetten.

Kijk vanaf de gated veranda naar de bergen en wandel met je hond door de rustige buurt.

De open plattegrond is perfect voor kleine bijeenkomsten, de vele ramen geven de buitenruimte een boomtop gevoel en u kunt gezellig bij uw gashaard in de woonkamer zitten.

Geniet van een speciale traktatie en reserveer dit unieke chalet in het centrum van Asheville.

DIT IS EEN NIET-ROKEND / VAPEND HUIS.

ALLEEN HONDEN toegestaan! Geen katten, konijntjes, vogels of andere dieren dan honden vanwege allergieën. Een hondentoeslag is van toepassing plus alle toepasselijke belastingen. $ 75 per hond plus belastingen. Maximaal TWEE honden met voorafgaande goedkeuring. HONDEN MOETEN TE ALLEN TIJD IN DE LOSLIJN ZIJN.

Winter: houd er rekening mee dat we af en toe sneeuw ervaren. De HOA doet geweldig werk om de wegen geschaafd te houden, maar ze schrapen pas nadat de sneeuw eindigt. Houd dus rekening met het weer en weet dat er mogelijk sneeuwweer is. Plan alstublieft dienovereenkomstig.

Respecteer de buren om je heen als je buiten geniet. Als uw hond zich bij u heeft gevoegd, haal hem dan achterna zodat anderen van het terrein kunnen genieten.

Nice Mountain Cottage

The property was very nice, and as described. Communication and assistance was quick when needed. It was a quick drive to downtown, the arts district, or waterfall hikes. We enjoyed our stay and would come back.

Tricky Turns!

This is the trickiest mountain road I’ve ever driven. 180° turns that go up at 90° angles, but the chalet is worth the drive. The only thing it needs is comfortable living room furniture. Dealing with Darlene is a delight. Highly recommend.

Secluded cabin in woods, saw bears 😊

Cabin was in beautiful location in the woods. Were delighted to see mama bear and 2 cubs on our last day. Well stocked kitchen. Were disappointed to find wagsher & dryer were across the road, not in our cabin. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, would come again!

Very clean and did feel like living in tree tops! Quiet neighborhood; could hear some road noise below the mountain. King bed was comfortable with abundant pillows! We enjoyed The Hound patio bar at end of street; nice spot for a bottle of wine/appetizer. Location is great for restaurants and driving to Blue Ridge.The fridge is not full size (eat out-so many great restaurants) and the hall bath is cruise-ship small. Areas to improve: sofa so soft and unsupportive you feel like you are sitting on the floor; black out curtains needed for smaller bedroom as street light is too bright shining right through window shade; and ice cube trays are cracked and need to be replaced.

Asheville music stay

We rented the property for a three night Billy Strings concert tour stop. It was great to be so close to downtown but the feeling of being in the mountains! Home has everything we needed, it was quiet and comfortable. Would definitely stay again!

Excellent property. Comfortable and convenient. 2 extremely small points. Refrigerator doesn’t have an ice maker, so if you are going to need very much ice, bring a bag of ice. The washer and dryer are in a building across the street (20 feet away). Would definitely stay there again!

Difficult to Get To

The property was clean and well equipped, however it is not the easiest location to get to. Narrow winding road that is 2 way traffic with only room for one vehicle. I had to back up to a wider portion of the road twice because I met an oncoming car coming downhill. Certainly arrive in daylight, not darkness. Previous renter had left a small bag of trash in container outside front door and there are definitely bears in the area. We live in the mountains and are very accustomed to wild bears, but these have been acclimated to humans and do not leave easily. Trash dump is about 100 ft. from house and they were there every night. Be cautious and carry a spotlight at night if walking your dog. Luckily I spotted the trash outside of the front door when we first arrived, but according to a neighbor, that happens quite often so check it when arriving. Would not stay here again.

A cozy chalet close to downtown

Overall the Matterhorn Chalet is a wonderful place for a couple, family with 1-2 children, or two friends (possibly even two couples). The home is very cozy with a working fireplace and nice views from its perch on the hillside. The internet is "OK" in terms of speed, though we had trouble with the cable (we didn't exactly need it so we didn't call). The home itself is conveniently located near groceries, attractions and the like; and it has everything you need for your stay. Please note it is a bit tricky getting into the house/subdivision, so pay close attention as you head uphill. As a final note: while the house is dog friendly, finding space to walk dogs is challenging, and would be difficult for picky pups. However, this is VERY common with many rentals in Asheville. If you dogs needs a yard or green space consider something on flat land. Otherwise, Haw Creek Park is very close a great for letting your dogs stretch their legs.

the house was almost exactly as stated. although ways and google map had a hard time pinpointing the exact location we found it after the second pass. the house shows as maroon colored when actually it has a gray exterior. comfy, clean and interior exactly as shown. we had a wonderful stay and downtown is so very close. two thumbs up.

Homey and Convenient

We loved our stay. The location is incredibly convenient. You’re up on top of a mountain but 5 minutes to downtown. Lots of trees and wildlife (yes, we did see the bears - a mama and 3 cubs!) Also good wifi and enough space to spread out. I would definitely choose this house again. It was a great fit for our family.

Great place!

This was perfect for what we wanted! Rustic, but very clean. My husband and dog and I were very comfortable there! It’s nestled in the the trees up a windy skinny road. There are other chalets around, but it still felt very secluded. I definitely recommend this spot! Thank you
