Enjoy comfortable and cozy convenience in this studio apartment that we have set up, especially for the small traveling group or single worker! Our well-appointed space offers private entry, reserved parking, and plenty of room to spread out inside. Small groups of 2-4 love that we are 2 min to downtown West Asheville and close to all the outdoor adventures. Groups also love that the bathroom provides excellent privacy, with a shower on one side and a separate water closet on the other.
Upon arrival, you will pull into the driveway for the main house and come down around the back. A reserved private parking spot is marked with a sign and is available for your use during your stay. While one parking spot is provided, there is additional parking across the street on Pinewood. The entrance to the studio is directly behind the parking spot and on the bottom level of the main home.
Outside Area:
Outside and to the left of the entry door, two chairs and a small table create a space for nature lovers to sit outside and enjoy the fresh air. A small creek flows at the edge of the property, creating a fun area to take in some natural beauty. Our guests love sitting at the streamside firepit in our four Adirondack chairs!
Living Area:
As you enter the studio, you will be greeted by the living area immediately on the left. A queen sized sleeper sofa (waiting on updated photos for listing) and two comfy recliner chairs sit on an area rug. Opposite the chairs, a large smart TV with Netflix offers the opportunity to enjoy a show or movie. You can also bring your own logins and enjoy almost any other app. The living area creates a space perfect for relaxing with a movie by yourself or with your fellow guest. A personal thermostat is in the space, allowing for a custom temperature to suit your needs.
Sleeping Area:
Beyond the living area sits the bed. We have created an inviting space with a queen bed with a comfy 100% natural latex mattress, nightstands with reading lights, and a low table at the foot of the bed for opening a suitcase. A ceiling fan hangs above the bed for those guests wanting extra airflow at night.
Eating Area:
Across from the sleeping area, we have created a space for dining and food prep. A table for two gives the option of a sit-down meal. We also offer a coffee bar and tea area with a Keurig coffee maker in this space. K-cups, tea bags, creamer, and sugar are provided.
We also feature a popcorn popper with popcorn and seasonings provided. Our eating area includes a microwave, mini fridge, kitchen sink, and small counter space. We provide full-place settings and paper towels, dish soap, and hand soap for your stay.
Dedicated Workspace:
As you walk in the front door, the dedicated workspace sits to the studio's right. A desk and chair with a work light allow you to set up a laptop or spread out books and papers. We have also mounted a whiteboard on the wall above the desk to provide a spot for you to make notes, brainstorm, and get creative. Our fast Wi-Fi will make everything from email to video calls simple and effective.
Bathroom:
To the right of the desk, a door leads to the bathroom and laundry area. Inside and on the left, a full-size walk-in shower makes getting ready easy and relaxing. Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash are provided. On the right, a modern washer and dryer allow you to get any necessary laundry done. A four-drawer dresser is also available for your use. Another door opens to the water closet (toilet and sink area), providing privacy for folks traveling together.

Guest Access:
You will have access to the entire studio. Entry is via a keypad, and a manual key box is available for emergencies. The code can be provided by calling us.
Other Things to Note:
This studio is on the lower level of our home. We live here with our young children. We have soundproofing on the locked door connecting the levels and white noise for your comfort. You will hear children's voices, footsteps, and general household noises through the ceiling. Kindly make sure this is acceptable to you before booking.
Air conditioning is via a small window unit neatly tucked behind the TV, and it is more than adequate to keep the studio at the temperature of your desire.
A personal wall thermostat controls central heat.
The area beyond the metal fence near the tiny home/office at the end of the driveway is not available for guest use.
A doorbell camera is attached for security only.
Please take caution pulling out of our driveway as some drivers tend to drive fast, and visibility is somewhat limited.
The owner of the home will be unavailable to the guests but the owner has hired a friend of theirs, Josh, to manage the home and guest experience. Josh is available by phone which is listed on the whiteboard.
**Important**
Please make sure you read and comply with these rules:
-NO SMOKING OR VAPING IN THE HOME AT ALL or on the property.
-No illegal substances allowed on the premises.
-NO Excessive guests. Only registered guests are allowed on the property.
-NO Mailing Packages to the home.
-NO PARTYING or Events of any kind inside or on the property.
-We love our neighbors and ask that you please respect the community. Noise level MUST BE MINIMAL after 10PM! There is a noise level county ordinance. We do not want complaints! Violation of the noise/party rule could result in the police being called, termination of your reservation, and the security deposit retained. We must respect the peace of the community! Thank you.
**Fire Pit Safety**
-Never leave fire unattended
-Ensure fire is completely out before leaving or going to bed. (There is a water hose and sqigot to the let of the front door)
-Firewood can be purchased at the local Ingles.
**PENALTIES FOR THE FOLLOWING**
Held against security deposit and claim will be filed with Airbnb.
**Stolen property: At cost of the stolen property.
**Smoking in the home: $250 or More, dependent on cost to clean.
**Lost Keys: $50 to rekey
**Late Checkout Past 10am without our consent. $75
**Excessive Guests than reservation. $50 per guest or Cancellation of Reservation without Refund.
**Excessive Cleaning if the place is left filthy with trash everywhere. $150
**You must also acknowledge**
Amenity limitations- We provide two rolls of toilet paper per bathroom, two rolls of paper towels, and two garbage bags for each bin. More can be provided for longer stays, and may have a charge associated. If you need more, please ask and we will try to accommodate you.
Please only flush toilet paper and NOTHING else. If the sewer clogs during your stay, a fee will be assessed to have a plumber come and make repairs.
The ring doorbell is for the protection of our property and is not actively monitored. It also provides you, the guest, security and additional availability to contact us. There are no cameras inside the home.
Please do not unplug the dehumidifier. It is set to auto to ensure moisture does not build up in the rental.
