Charmante ruimte naast alles, overal wandelen!

Parkeer de auto tijdens uw verblijf en voel u thuis in het schilderachtige stadje Ashland. Ruim en artistiek decor is perfect voor recreatie of executive verblijven. Onze kleine buurtwoning in de flats van het Historic Railroad District, omstreeks 1890, kon niet dichter bij de lokale jemspots van Ashland zijn, waaronder OSF, Lithia Park, Ashland Food Co-op, restaurants en winkels, allemaal op korte loopafstand. Volledig privé, schoon en handig.

De ruimte

Ons huis is gevuld met kleur en licht. Gebouwd in 1890, is het ooit een bordeel / washuis geweest. Volledig prive en volledig ingericht met overdekte veranda, dubbele hoofd inloopdouche, dubbele cellen raam tinten, tuin, volledig geladen keuken, wifi, kabel en internet. Nieuw aangeboden is een gloednieuwe stapelbare wasmachine / droger naast de koelkast.
Voor een goede nachtrust hebben we comfortabele arrangementen met ofwel het kingsize bed in de zolderruimte of de op maat gemaakte uittrekbare bank in de woonkamer is net zo gezellig als uw eigen bed met een 10 ”Spring Air-matras (pomp is opgehangen in een mand onder het raam achterin de bank).
De badkamer is gemakkelijk toegankelijk op de begane grond.
De eigenaar / artiesten wonen op het terrein tussen hun 2 studio's. J. Garloff Design artistieke verlichtingsstukken worden zowel in het huis als in de tuinen getoond.
Dit is een niet-huurders huurovereenkomst.

Het huis is van jou. Er is een gesloten deur aan de achterkant van de keuken die leidt naar de leefruimte van de eigenaren en kunststudio's.

Als je speciale verzoeken hebt of meer accommodaties nodig hebt, helpen we je graag bij het vinden van extra ruimte voor je hele feest in onze buurt. We staan open voor u, zeg het maar, uw privacy is belangrijk en wordt gerespecteerd.

We hebben wel een kleine hond die je van tijd tot tijd in de tuin kunt ontmoeten. Ze is vriendelijk en zal je verblijf niet storen. Houd er rekening mee dat ons huisdier niet is toegestaan in het gastgedeelte van het huis op elk moment, tijdens speurtochten of daarna.

Great place!

Very nice rental. The house was very colorful and well-built, located a block from the Food Coop and a few blocks from downtown and the theatre district. Very quiet. The hosts were nearby but respected our privacy. The bedroom was upstairs, not an issue for us but might be if someone has trouble with stairs. We hope to stay there again!

Wonderful whimsical house near Oregon Shakespeare Festival

I was trying to think of a word to describe this one of a kind house and whimsical came to mind. It is beautifully decorated throughout with warm colors, artwork, and special touches everywhere. Handmade pottery and cups, colorful tile bathroom, roomy porch to hang out. There is a bedroom loft upstairs and a very comfortable hide-a-bed in the living room. It is hard to describe fully how much fun it was to stay there.

Wonderful small home close to the action!

We stayed a full week and saw seven plays. The location is wonderful! Just a few short blocks to the shopping, a quick walk through the alley to the co-op, and easy street parking. The interior and exterior are beautifully decorated and well kept. Be aware that the sleeping is upstairs, and bring a sleep mask if you’re sensitive to light as there’s a skylight over the stairwell that can’t be closed up. The kitchen is small but perfectly equipped, with a nice gas stove and a small but adequate fridge. We hope you’ll enjoy your stay as much as we did! We’ll definitely stay here again if it’s available next year!

Great location - Excellent Rental Property

We have stayed in this property back in 2019. It is still a great location to walking downtown Ashland. Everything is here that you need to enjoy a homey stay while away from home.

A Visual Delight in a Perfect Location

From the moment we arrived, we felt welcome and delighted in this amazing, colorful house. The hosts were outside in the yard to greet us, and answered any questions. A magical escape…

John and Mori have created a home that rather belongs in Oz or the other side of the looking glass. Every corner of the property has been considered with the hosts creative eyes and gifted skills. It is as fun to stay in as it looks in the photos. We loved it so much we hope one day soon to call John and Mori neighbors.

Comfy and Convenient

So large with fascinating colors and textures. The owners are artists and the home reflects that. The huge bed room is upstairs with the bath downstairs. The stairs are wide and gentle and well lit with nite lites. If there is a draw back it would be the shared common wall downstairs with the main house. Great stay ,great location, groceries one block, gym 2 blocks , downtown 3 blocks and great hosts!

Walk Everywhere in Ashland

This property was perfect for our month-long stay. We had everything we needed, especially a washer and dryer. The railroad district is close to everything. We were able to walk to restaurants, the Food Co-op and other businesses as well as Lithia Park.

Centrally located, lovingly decorated house

I just reviewed this house in December of 2020, and enjoyed it so much that I decided to return here two months later. Not only is the place centrally located, but it is well-maintained by its owners, who are respond right away to any questions or issues. The house is also quite lovely inside--carefully decorated. The space is great for one person or a couple, but it does have a sofa bed downstairs as well. My only caveats are that the bathroom is downstairs while the bedroom (spacious) loft is upstairs--although on very well-built stairs which created no problem for my 64-year-old self; and the light does come strongly through in the bedroom on nice days, so probably not ideal for those who sleep in. But I have returned, and will probably return again.

Cozy and Vibrant, Centrally-Located Stay

The appeal of this house is both its central location and the obvious care and love that the owners have put into it. It was lovely to stay in a place with such beautiful tiling and detail work. And, despite its many intriguing tchtochkes, the place is very clean and dust-free. Also great is the fact that everything totally reflects the description on VRBO. We were pleased, as well, by the quick response of the owners to any questions as well as by the many high-quality amenities that the place offers, particularly cookware. Light sleepers might keep in mind that one of the bedroom loft windows has no shade; those who are planning to spend many daytime hours at the place (as we did, since it was wintertime and COVID-time) should note that one can quite easily hear phone conversations in the owner's side of the house. Those who, like me, are over 60, might keep in mind that the bedside lighting in the loft is somewhat dim--although the lamps themselves are gorgeous. Overall, though, this is a delightful place for two people--a place to which we hope to return.
