4/10 – Matig

My stay had a few positives, but overall it was more frustrating than it should have been.
Parking and check-in were unnecessarily complicated. There were no clear instructions provided ahead of time about how the process works. Upon arrival, I had to park on the curb, go inside to check in, get a parking tag, then return to my car and move it to a lot behind the building. Since this is a downtown location, there was no obvious signage to guide this process. I only figured it out because someone from a neighboring valet service explained it to me. This lack of communication caused delays and added stress right at the start.
The elevator situation didn’t help either. There was only one elevator going up, and it was extremely slow. Expect a wait, especially during busy times.
Unfortunately, cleanliness in the room was also an issue. There was hair on the bed, on the bathroom floor, and even on the toilet. After a long day at the hospital, I didn’t have the energy to request a new room or housekeeping, so I ended up cleaning it myself. That is not something any guest should have to do.
Breakfast was underwhelming. While there was a decent selection, the quality did not match. The bagel I had tasted stale, and the food overall did not appear fresh. Even the fruit options were limited to oranges, which didn’t look fresh either.
On a positive note, the grounds themselves appeared clean, and the location felt relatively safe.
