We have stayed in many different vacation homes all over the country and this by far has been the worse. Terrible communication with the host. He took very long time to respond to my emails. On check-in day I was told by host that the earliest I could check in was 4:00 pm, we got there at about 4:20 pm and I had to wait until almost 5:30 pm to receive the door passcode to get in. We had two small children traveling with us and after many hours in the car when we arrived we decided to have them stretch their legs in the front porch of the house which was a big mistake. The outside area of the house was infested with mosquitoes, flies and spiders. We all got bitten by mosquitoes. Once we got inside the house the mosquitoes and flies also came in and we had such a hard time getting rid of them. Any time we opened the door they were ready to come in. The house is located in an area close to downtown but very unsafe. The refrigerator ice box was broken so we were not able to have ice in the house. I contacted the host and all he did was thank me for letting him know. We tried to cook something for the kids but we didn’t find any kitchen knives. This was also reported to the host but nothing was corrected. I would not recommend this place to anyone and for me and my family we would never stay here again.
