'One of our favorite stops on our 17 day Japan and South Korea trip. The hotel has beautiful grounds and they take exceptional care of their guests. We booked the onsen and half board for 2 nights . So fun to experience Japanese culture! '

'The onsen Ryoken is a famous one in Japan as the Japanese Emperors had stayed at the estate for a few times. We stayed at a room with private onsen which is excellent. The food was also great and we had a great time.'

'Everything was beautiful! The Koi pond was one of the biggest highlights. The staff was incredibly helpful, even to English speaking visitors. The area was beautiful and quaint. This was a wonderful way to wind down after 10 days of nonstop walking and traveling across Japan!'

The hotel advertises late checkout but I was told that 11:00 am constitutes late checkout. This seems like a bit of a scam to me. Made my departure more rushed than a I planned for it to be.'

'We really enjoyed our stay. Shuzenji Onsen was fabulous and very relaxing. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We loved the Onsen and my kids enjoyed wearing the yakuta and loungewear around the hotel. We borrowed some bikes for a few hours and they were in great condition.'
