Seven Oaks

Lakefront huisje gelegen aan de oostkant van Owasco Lake (Cottonwood Lane Firelane 4) 2 mijl van Merry-Go-Round Playhouse, minder dan 5 mijl van de stad Auburn en slechts 8 mijl van het dorp Skaneateles.
Seven Oaks is een cottage met twee verdiepingen. De woonruimte op de begane grond bestaat uit een keuken, een eetkamer en een grote familiekamer met uitzicht op het meer, samen met een grote slaapkamer en een tweede complete badkamer, wasmachine en droger. De slaapkamer op de tweede verdieping en de aangrenzende ruimte met stapelbedden zijn geschikt voor maximaal 4 personen.
Groot terras om te dineren en loungen met een prachtig uitzicht op het water de hele dag en adembenemende zonsondergangen in de avond.
Er zijn 35 treden naar een vlak strand en een eigen aanlegsteiger. Voor uw plezier zijn er twee kajaks, paddle board, een vuurplaats op het strand en gas grill op het dek. De oprijlaan biedt plaats aan 4 parkeerplaatsen.

On a positive note, the wall of living room windows gave a wonderful view of the lake. The home was clean and comfortable. The one issue we had was that the 2nd bathroom was also down stairs. Because we are in our 70's, we could not use the upstairs, so my sister slept on the couch all week. The back deck and stairs have no outdoor lighting, making it difficult to navigate the stairs after dark. If these issues are addressed in the future, this would probably receive a higher rating

Our stay at Seven Oaks was the highlight of our trip! The cottage sits perched over Lake Owasco. We sat and watched as a storm moved across the lake one night and we also sat and watched the sun set many nights. The home is more beautiful than photos can capture. It has everything you need, including a library if one should finish or forget their book! There are so many places to sit and enjoy the outside. The lake was beautiful. Don't forget your water shoes as it is rocky on the bottom and not for the soft soled!The owners were wonderful, always responsive and communicative. We love the local ice cream store, Tom Thumb. You indulge on deliciously large servings of ice cream while seated outside with a panoramic view of the lake. It is a simple 5 minute drive from the house. We would return in a heartbeat and were sad to say good-bye to this vacation retreat. Thank you for making a special place to escape to!

We were so happy with this property we reserved it for June. The owner could not have been more accommodating and responsive. The view of the lake was gorgeous and the furniture was so comfy we hated to leave the living room. The neighborhood is upscale and quiet-perfect for walking our dog often.

The cottage served our needs perfectly. The accomodations were comfortable and clean. Sunsets and moon rises were stunning. Evening campfires by the lake were magical. We enjoyed hosting family and friends during our stay. Rick, the host, checked in on us periodically by text message. He picked up the trash and recyclables every few days. This property had everything we needed for a relaxing lake vacation. The cottage was spacious, the furnishings were comfortable, and the kitchen had all the essentials. The living room and large deck are facing west, providing the best sunset view every evening. The neighborhood was quiet yet close to activities in the town of Auburn. The dock was great for fishing and having kayaks available was a bonus. Rick’s hospitality is amazing! I would love to stay here again!

No downsides to this property at all. Lovely lake view without moving from the sofa. Beautiful sunsets. Great coffee pot and kitchen amenities. Comfortable furnishings, great deck, with lots of seating and quiet neighborhood. Great place to recharge ypur batteries.

There are not enough superlatives to rate this property! The spectacular view sitting on the deck makes it all worthwhile! But that’s just the icing. It’s a perfect location. I’ve stayed at a number of places but this one outshines them all. I literally did not have to bring anything. Kitchen is well stocked with every item you will need. The “manager” certainly makes you feel welcomed and concerned you are comfortable with everything you need. If I could give more stars, I would! MLT
