Upon our arrival, our host Jey, had a wonderful personalized sign made along with a bottle of wine and a gift basket of treats. After a long day of driving, it was a nice way to be greeted upon entering this stunning home. The view from the rear terrace and from the large sliding doors is absolutely breathtaking. Sitting out there for hours on end was worth the cost alone. Listening to the bleats of sheep and interacting with the dinosaur-like pukeko was an amazing, once in a lifetime experience. I must say the home itself is in need of some much needed maintenance. Some amenities such as the fireplace, televisions, mini-split A/C units, and the dryer were non-functional upon arrival. The host responded quickly to our concerns and even sent his maintenance man out after hours to try to fix them. He swapped some remote controls for the air conditioners but never got the fireplace working…something we were really looking forward to. The televisions, for the most part, were non-functional due to internet concerns. The living room TV worked but did not retract into the floor as designed. I fixed the dryer myself by cleaning it thoroughly. The home also was somewhat grimy and needs a good cleaning. Cigarette burns in the carpets, old sticky food on kitchen appliances, and some horrible unknown substance on the Master Bedroom headboard were unsettling. Several beer cans and rubbish are also scattered outside. Overall, a great location but the house needs some TLC.

Non functional fireplace, damaged weatherstripping on all doors.
Televisions not programmed or functional due to wi-fi concerns.
Numerous cigarette burns on carpets.

We had the most amazing stay at this villa! Our family stayed three nights and hosted our son’s birthday party on the Saturday night. Everything was absolutely perfect. The villa is stunning, the view is unmatched, and it had everything we needed and more.JV’s communication was exceptional from start to finish, so thoughtful, responsive, and genuinely invested in making sure our weekend was special. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience.Highly recommend this property 10/10!

Our stay here was amazing. We loved everything about this place from the size of the villa to the views. Me and my partner decided to host our wedding here. The first thing that came into our guests minds was the amazing view. Before we booked this place we asked the host two things. 1. It is possible to host a wedding here and 2. Can we view the property before hand. Jey the host said yes to both and that made us feel a lot better so we know what we are booking as we are trying to host our wedding here we want everything to be perfect. The communication was great between us and Jey for anything questions and queries we had we got an instant reply. We also appreciate the final touches/maintenance of the villa Jey did for our wedding to make it feel even more perfect. Lastly it was really nice arriving to the venue with a lovely welcome message along with a little mr & mrs present for us. We really appreciated that and made our experience even better. I would 100% come back here again!

Visiting Home Family Vacation

Was looking for a property that we would be able to invite friends and family over for a gathering of 20 people that was conveniently located in Auckland for my wife and I who were visiting from Florida. The property was the absolute best. The house was amazing with ample room for everyone including wide open doors that led from the kitchen out to the back deck overlooking the waiwera area. Amazing views. Beds were extremely comfortable and the house had a speaker system built in so we could enjoy listening to our songs while catching up with family and friends. The hosts were proactive with any requests we had.Highly highly recommend staying at this amazing property. A hidden gem atop the hills. 5 stars!!

Our weekend at the holiday house was a serene escape to a beautiful location with expansive views. The hosts were amazing and helped us with everything we needed yet total privacy too. The home is very large and great for large group of friends and family to visit comfortably. The views are so nice and you can sit on the front lawn and relax and see things all day. I hope to visit again.

Breathtaking views, stunning house, you won't want to leave!

I have used VRBO in 5 countries, and 35 towns, and this home is my favorite! This stunning house, makes you feel you are on top of the world! You have sweeping views in every direction, and floor to ceiling glass in every room to view it from! Whether it's a stunning clear blue day, or a sweeping storm, it's hard to actually want to leave this place, and roll down the hill to any of the fabulous beaches and stunning walking trails less than 5 minutes from the house. Restaurants and shops are close by in Orewa, and there is a superette/dairy and restaurant, 3 minutes from house. Jey (host/owner) bent over backwards to make this the perfect holiday for our family (we were visiting my 80 yr old Mum from overseas, who we have not seen in 3 years due to covid) Jey made us feel beyond welcome in every way, we felt looked after from start to finish, and we felt so grateful to experience this stunning home and create families memories that will last a lifetime for us all. Can't wait to come back to this little piece of paradise in such a stunning part of New Zealand! You won't be disappointed! :-)
