Absolutely loved our stay, host was super friendly and loved our 2 connecting rooms, had a spa bath in bathroom and our own private deck. The pool and spa pool were incredible and loved the sea views. Nice and clean, we will definitely be back.

We were greeted by Melissa in such a friendly way. We really enjoy the grounds here, the view and pool area overlooking the city of Aukland is amazing. It was the perfect last night of vacation.

The advertising shows sea views which are not available from the lettable area, but are available from communal spaces. While the property itself is modern in appearance, the room we had was dated and in need of maintenance virtually on all surfaces. The mould on the ceiling in the toilet/bath room is intolerable and given the amount of dust on plants in that room, it clearly hasn’t been thoroughly cleaned for some time. Although plastic plates and glassware is provided, there is no kitchenette so presumably dishes need to be done in the bathroom. The small old Jim Beam beer fridge in the main room had chicken wrapped in tin foil left in it, which again points toward a casual approach to thorough housekeeping. The curtains in the main room are not wide enough for the window and to compensate, a see-through roller blind has been installed to fill the gap. The is little privacy in the shower at night as the external wall is constructed from glass blocks, although a narrow roller blind is installed. Beware that the space is essentially a spare room/area within the home owners house (shared entrance) and to that end, it is not a private accommodation option. We were “upgraded” to a space with a second bedroom and double bed (a rollaway for the second bed was expected) which was nice, and certainly the property is very close to the city CBD. While the price point is favourable, this is very much a case of getting what you pay for unfortunately and we would not stay again.

Hi Janeth, As per my messages to you before you arrived, this accommodation is not suitable for a party & if you wanted to make celebrate then best place to do it was in the double room upstairs away from the other guests. You didn’t listen to me and if you had, I would not have had to ask you & your girlfriends to stop all the loud noise at 11pm.Take care,

We love the place, its clean, the area is oerfext for a little get away from home. Our kids loved the pool, the spa pool and yhe bubble bath. Service was excellent. Big area, kids had fun they didnt eveb have time to play in the trampoline. Very quiet neighborhood too. We parked in the property so that was nice too.

Despite booking and arriving very late in the evening, Melissa was super friendly, welcoming and the communication was fabulous - the first call came right after booking to confirm. I loved the personal touches with welcoming signs at the entry and the relaxed atmosphere within the home. The nature of our trip meant we had to come and go and the host’s understanding made all the difference to the level of comfort my family enjoyed whilst there. Thank you for sharing your Home and Space with us, we would not hesitate to recommend.

Accidents happen, during Covid-19 we rented out our 2 rooms to long term guests. As kindly explained, I accidentally forgot to block out the room on this date. I was extremely sorry for the mistake and instead of you waiting for Expedia to refund your money (which would have taken up to 10 days) I refunded you cash on the spot. I also kindly helped you find alternate accommodation. Not sure what else I could have done. I’m a very kind hearted person, maybe more understanding from you should be given, as accidents in life happen.

We are a family of six and we felt very welcome to be ourselves. The host, Melissa, was friendly, helpful, relaxed and a pleasure to have met. She kindly gave us an extra supply of breakfast knowing we had four boys who likely eat a lot. The building is very well situated and close to beautiful parks, gorgeous beaches and lakes and really close to Auckland city centre if you want to be part of the buzz. We’ve all had a fabulous time and the children are asking when we’re coming back. Thanks Melissa!

Spectacular Sea View
Welcomed by Melissa as we arrived which is always nice, were shown to our Room upstairs (just as seen in the online photos). Melissa was very accommodating & we had really good communication before our stay at Sea View outlining access to Spa / Pool, were advised guest house is owner occupied - We had our own space - Loved having an outdoor balcony to eat on, there is a table with toaster & kitchen amenities, TV, dining table, microwave, fridge. Everything we needed with a beautiful view of Auckland from the downstairs outdoor area which we enjoyed while taking a dip in the Pool. Beyond relaxed after our Visit & will definitely book again at Sea View Guest House - Thanks

Great amazing views of the harbour. Nice and close to town and shops. The pool and spa are an added bonus! Super relaxing and plenty of parking.

Great location and friendly hosts with excellent, quick communication and very accommodating to our needs and the fact we were a large group. Parts of the bathroom felt a bit tired with one sink cracked and unable to be used.

Melissa is a wonderful host, very friendly and welcoming. Beautiful home, where we booked a wing of the house including two bedrooms and large bathroom with spa bath and balcony. We fit 2 adults and 5 kids in comfortably and the kids loved jumping on the tramps and swimming in the pool and spa. I only wish we could have stayed longer to use the pool more. Such a stunning view of the city from there. Would happily recommend, and kids have already asked when we can go back.

This is a room in the back of a couples home, not a guest house. You arrive to a nice woman ushering you in but have to pass a husband several times in the hall should you go in or out that obviously isn't pleased to have strangers in his home. I get it. We had no idea we'd be inside someones personal space with their kids and husband. A young newlywed couple arrived to another room and seemed as bewildered as we were. If they had been honest and said "guest suite in home" shared with family we wouldn't have booked it. GUESS WHAT....they don't have a refund policy. Of course not. Google the address ,then the names associated, and so on. Took my money for a guest house that didn't exist. Do your own research before staying in a home with a random family you know nothing about.
