This house is even better than it looks in photos...and it is such a photogenic house and grounds that Mackenzie-Childs did a photo shoot there. Our extended family (with toddler and dog) had a really special long weekend at the house. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable; the common areas were well appointed and great for gathering; the house itself is a historical stone architecture with modern updates - excellent kitchen appliances, for example. And that's just inside. The backyard is large and great for running around barefoot between the trees. There are multiple outdoor seating areas: adirondack chairs to catch sunset; picnic table with umbrella; dining table with umbrella; and firepit with adirondack chairs; cornhole, etc. Just across the street is a private lane that leads to private lake access. We kayaked, swam, and just hung out at the waterfront - it was perfect. It was truly a special experience - if you're debating booking this house vs. one that may be a bit cheaper but doesn't look as nice, I would say, you get what you pay for. I think this was very good value - everything was as advertized, clean, and well maintained. Moreover, the host, Praneetha, was very communicative and welcoming. I would love to come back to this very special place!
