'Beautiful and very accommodating home. Amazing scenery and view from the back porch. Comfortable in all areas. Scenic and very easy 45 minute drive to Acadia and Bar Harbor. I would absolutely stay here again '

'Location, cleanliness, amenities were all a 10, but the downstairs bed was hard as a rock, and the others were so so. Comfortable beds are a must, Invest in some better bedding and this place would be a perfect 10. I would also suggest a queen sized bed for the downstairs bedroom. Otherwise we had a great vacation visiting Acadia and the surrounding area.'

'Loved coming back after a long day of hiking in Acadia to this warm cozy home. Michelle was a wonderful hostess keeping in touch with us and providing us with comfortable beds, pillows, as well as a well stocked kitchen with needed utensils for cooking. Would return again!'

'Quiet setting. Clean and neatly decorated house'

'Extremely clean cottage located near a few serene parks and a 40 min drive into the heart of Bar Harbor. Beds were a bit soft for our liking, but that’s just a personal preference. Few suggestions on things we missed: a vacuum or hand vacuum (with the hikes & and surrounding area shoes get dirty quickly) some spices and olive oil for cooking. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend.'

'Our family of 5 had a great stay here. House is exactly as advertised and the lake is beautiful. Kids loved swimming (note you do have to navigate some boulders by the dock), playing on the kayaks and canoe, fishing, and making s’mores by the fire pit. Also loved seeing and listening to the loons (and spotted a bald eagle one afternoon). Supermarket nearby for most grocery needs and also great lobster nearby. 'The property was more than we as two people needed but was close to many areas we were visiting including Acadia NP and surrounding areas including Schoodic Penninsula. The property was clean, functional and had history included. It had all the amenities necessary for a week long stay. We ate out so did not cook in but had all the equipment to cook in. Staying off island had its advantages. A couple possible improvements would be a couple of handles going down the cellar for the washer and dryer...
