'First time (in our experience) the actual property exceeded the photos (and the photos made the place look great in the first place). The property is beautiful and the house is beautiful. The riverside setting is everything for which we were hoping and the house simply tasteful and Adirondack elegant. Whole place is comfortable inside and out. The owners are both extremely available and also unobtrusive. Perfect experience. Would book this place simply to stay here and do nothing else. This time...

'I could not be more satisfied with the experience we had during our short stay. It was actually very nice to be more in the quiet Cove vs the main lake area… Paddling via canoe or kayak to the main lake area and swimming off of the island there was quite special.'

'We booked this escape as a 1/2 way point between family in NJ and MA and what a hidden gem it is! Dog friendly was a priority, but the magic of this place was a welcomed surprise. All weekend we commented on wishing we stayed longer and that we must come back to really enjoy the property and cozy feel that warms the soul! The cabin is meticulously maintained and it is very clear that the family loves their home away from home! Can’t wait to return!!'

Reached by a several miles-long dirt road that is exceptionally well-maintained, so not particularly challenging for those not used to dirt roads, even though unlit.Nonetheless, arriving for the first time in the middle of the night is a bit of an adventure.'

A bonus was the property connects to Bessie Woods and we were able to go for a hike on the trails without even having to leave the property. 'Very nice place to stay for our 3 day hike on the AT. The view from the deck is amazing and the living room is huge with an old stone fireplace which we didn’t use because it was 90 degrees each day. The Mexican restaurant in town (Norte Azul) has an extensive menu and a good variety of beer on tap. Highly recommend visiting Mt Greylock in MA, about 30 mins away. It has an even better restaurant on top (you need reservations) and is right on the Appalachian Trail so you will meet all sorts on...

'The house was lovely, small but cozy. The weather was very hot during our stay and the house did get a little warm. But the A/C in the main bedroom worked great.
