Welkom bij Kokomo op Bald Head Island!

"Kokomo" is het eilandleven op zijn best. Wij zijn gelegen direct aan South Bald Head Wynd in een doodlopende straat met een spectaculair uitzicht op de oceaan. Verspreid in ons huis met 5 slaapkamers plus een extra slaapruimte! Onze eerste verdieping bestaat uit een open plattegrond met de woonkamer, eetkamer en keuken. We hebben ook 2 master king suites en een half bad. Boven hebben we nog twee slaapkamers en twee badkamers. De eerste slaapkamer heeft twee tweelingen en de tweede slaapkamer heeft twee koninginnen en twee tweelingen. Buiten hebben we een gloednieuwe twee verdiepingen tellende crofter. Boven hebben we een kingsize bed en een badkamer. De beneden crofter heeft een woon / tv-ruimte met een eenpersoonsbed. De crofter is perfect voor een ander gezin met veel privacy en toch dicht bij het hoofdgebouw. Het huis en de crofter zijn verbonden door een groot dek / grillgebied. Geniet van de privacy in de achtertuin, het spectaculaire uitzicht vanaf de veranda vanaf de hangmat en rockers of de zithoek op het scherm veranda. We hebben veel buitenleven opties :) We hebben veel strandspullen, een golfkar voor 6 passagiers en wifi.

Fantastic location & house set up

Kokomo is in a fantastic location just across from the beach access & a short trip to the market & shops. Plenty of space to spread out & the crofter is an added bonus for privacy. House was extremely well equipped with everything you would need. Will definitely be back for longer than a quick weekend!!

Wonderful location

Nice property with ocean view from the 3rd row back. Located off one of the main streets on the island, 5 min to BHI club and 10 min to Shoals. Easy access to beach. The deck space is wonderful and great for large groups. The gas grill has an in-ground propane tank. The kitchen was lacking in some necessary items like steak knives, etc., but was otherwise functional for preparing large meals.

The Great Escape

My brother and I rented this cottage and had a total of nine people (adults and kids) comfortably stay at this fantastic cottage. In the middle of everything, close to the beach, well maintained and just flat out perfect. Hope to be back soon.

Perfect House!

The layout of this house is perfect for large families with two master suites and the extra crofter worked perfectly for us. Beautiful views of the ocean even though you’re not beach front and privacy from other homes nearby.

Great view. Needs work inside and out.

Wood floors in kitchen and 1/2 bathroom were warped and soggy in spots. Ceiling and wall mildew in a downstairs bathroom. BHI Services came immediately to 1) repair front stair railing and 2) replace broken microwave with new appliance. A broken drawer in the refrigerator needs replacing rather than taping. Still a lot of debris in yard. Not enough silverware for this sized rental.

The home was roomy and had a good layout. A few items needed attention, and most were handled efficiently. I wish the tv in the crofter worked. Wonder why it is there if it does not have WiFi connection. Good location. We really enjoyed the stay. 8/15/20

Great House - BUT

The house needs some serious attention in regards to paint, exterior shingles and overall upgrade. The downstairs LR/Bedroom in detached structure was unusable due to cigar smoke stench. I had to sleep on couch instead. The yard had various dangerous items including a sheathed knife just laying in the backyard with some old fishing lures, rusty bikes and junk. Was very dissappointed for 10K a week.

Great Space and Location/Needs Some Attention

Loved the close proximity to beach. Great space for our three families with little ones. But the tv's didn't work like we were told and wifi didn't reach crofter. Also, a few kitchen outlets weren't working and we spotted a few dangerous fish hooks and a rusty broken door handle. Needs some handyman care.

Kokomo was fantastic

We’ve rented on BHI for the last 15 years and from every rental company on the island. Brandy Parker with BHI Services really went the extra mile to make our stay fantastic. This property has lots of space for a big family and the separate crofter allows for guests to have a little more privacy. Beach access 24B is right across the street and easy to walk to. There are plenty of beds and bathrooms for your family/guests. The hammock on the front porch is an inviting place to watch the sunset. We had a great stay and would book this property again.
