The motel was fine for one night while visiting Sovereign Hill, but it wasnโt great. The staff were friendly.
The room was grimy and needed a deep clean. The facilities were fine, we had what we needed in the kitchen but it would have been a bit hard to cook a proper meal. The couches and beds werenโt that comfortable. The area around the motel was quiet but not much to do without driving, and the view outside our room was of an ugly equipment yard or something. I think there was a playground nearby but it was raining so we didnโt go there, but would be handy if it was nice weather.
The breakfast was disappointing - I was keen to get the kids a motel breakfast where you tick what you want on a card, but they didnโt have that. They just had an overpriced breakfast box you could buy with cereal, juice and milk. Luckily weโd brought cereal with us just in case so we had that.
