NOUVO HOTEL BANGKOK
No alcohol allowed in the lobby at the Business Centrum corner in the lobby. Is it because this hotel adheres to islamic principles? I felt discriminated.
Business Centrum itself was a security atrocity. It had only one functioning PC, running obsolete and never-ever updated 64-bit Windows 7 Ultimate.
Missing electrical outlets around bed — absolutely crucial thing these days, for our smartphones' and tablets' morning alarms. In our room one was between TV-set and mini-fridge, the other one was in far opposite corner by the window.
Security safe was not bolted down. Anyone could pull it out of night table and walk away with it.
Odd layout of bathroom's water basin, blocking direct entry and allowing room occupants to see directly anyone using toalet or shower.
GOOD: Money exchange and 7-eleven minimart built directly into hotel's structure.
BAD: Rip-off restaurants directly across the street, with exuberant prices and meals lacking meats. Bar at far right corner had very reasonable prices for drinks and meals. Northern parallel street restaurants had very reasonable prices, I highly suggest going there for a lunch or a dinner.
