The staff keeps a menu of options for adventures, and ours was top notch. The breakfast of fruit, eggs, and mushrooms was delicious, and coffee was available for free all morning.'

'De lodge ligt centraal gelegen tussen Santa Elena en Monteverde in. Een aantal 'nature reserves' en prima restaurants bevinden zich op loopafstand. De staf is behulpzaam en kan op verzoek alle mogelijke activiteiten voor je boeken. De inrichting van de kamer was modern (geen oude, vergane spullen) en het was er schoon. Aanrader.'

'We stayed in #6 and had the most amazing view of the volcano. There's a couple restaurants within a very quick walking distance- one next door, one across the street- so finding a place for dinner was super easy. The room had a lovely sitting area, a comfy bed, and a large bathroom with a shower and a jetted tub. The property had a walking/hiking trail that was gorgeous. It took us about 30 mins to walk the loop. There was also a common area with a fire pit and some chairs to enjoy the property....

I organised a surprise birthday party, where Eduardo came with the initiative to arrange a birthday cake - which was stunning -, organised a local folkloristic dance group, and they reserved and decorated the whole restaurant for us.'

'At the end of November, 2025, our family spent three days in La Fortuna at Arenal History Inn. This is a small hotel with only about 10 units. It is however a little different from a regular hotel in that each spacious single-storm room is independent from the others. All the rooms are surrounded by tropical trees and quite some distance away from the street.
