'Firstly, the location was great. The Stork is near the M6 and minutes away from downtown Lancaster, yet you feel like you are in the country. We enjoyed a last minute stay at the Stork and feel as though we had found a hidden gem. If the rooms aren't brand new, they certainly appear so. 'Stayed there a few times over the years . Good location for an over night stop etc. Clean and tidy over all. Friendly staff. It went down a bit a few years ago but seems to have been spruced up recently. Change of ownership? (The tv in the room had seen better days with occasional unresponsive controls. Wi-fi did not load up.)'

'A great 2 night stay at the Woolley Sheep with a compact, warm and comfortable room, great staff and a fantastic breakfast. We have stayed elsewhere in town on previous visits but this will be our go to in future. The central location with off street parking included is unbeatable. The instructions for the self service access are really clear and whilst we did have an issue with the code for the lockbox with the key room, we called and the concierge on the phone helped us instantly. The apartment itself was superb. We stayed in the 2 bedroom one called The Lodge. Both bedrooms were very large, with excellent ensuite bathrooms.
