Deze vrijstaande vakantie omgebouwde schuur ligt in een gebied van uitzonderlijke natuurlijke schoonheid in Sussex High Weald en biedt een prachtig landelijk uitzicht en wandelpaden direct voor de deur. Het hotel is onderdeel van het terrein van de eigenaar met een 15e-eeuws huis met rieten daken en wordt gedeeld door Golden Guernsey-geiten, pony's, eenden en een overvloed aan dieren in het wild. Bezoek Battle Abbey en de Battlefield-site in 1066, het prachtige slot Bodiam Castle, Herstmonceaux, de stoomspoorwegen Heritage, de tuinen van Weald en de statige huizen. Eastbourne 15 mijl. Tunbridge Wells 18 mijl. Brighton 30 mijl. Winkel 2½ mijl en pub 2 mijl.

De eerste brandstof is beschikbaar voor de houtkachel, de rest is beschikbaar tegen kostprijs. Verhoogde open terras met uitzicht op patio en een volledige dek met meubilair. Er is een niet-omheinde rioleringsstroom op het terrein.

Great quiet spot and lookout from terrace. Bedrooms very small but good bathrooms and lounge. Our only problem was lack of WiFi and a poor phone signal. It was very frustrating not to have access to look things up/contact family etc on the Internet though we had expected the Internet to be provided. Owners said they had changed providers and this led to a problem they were trying to solve.

Set in a beautiful location in a truly rural setting, the cottage offers plenty of options for walks right from the door. Battle Abby and the sea side are just a short hop away too. As for the cottage itself, it is good value for money. The bedrooms are a bit too small, but it is not a real problem as the rest of the cottage doesn't feel small for four people and I'm sure the property would be more expensive if the bedrooms were bigger. The cottage was also one of the best stocked cottage for kitchen equipment and the treats that the owners left were truly appreciated. It was just right for a low key break with our two teens. The cottage was beautifully finished and furnished, complete in every way. The owners' home is here too and they were most kind, helpful and welcoming. The location is lovely, peaceful with a splendid view from the deck over the paddock to a pond and stream at the edge of woodland. Four golden (their colour) goats and two little ponies, were friendly and a delight to us adults; children would be entranced by them. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay both because of the comfortable evenings and the many visits we made in our three full days. Had a lovely stay at swallows barn. Very comfortable with good quality furnishings and very well equipped with all you need. There is a choice of a bath or shower room, the shower was nice and powerful. The owners are very friendly and helpful and make you feel at home. Lovely home made cake when arrived and fresh eggs, biscuits, milk, and a bottle of juice all added to that personal touch even went home with a gift of freshly home made jam.
