'We wanted quiet, peaceful, beautiful, unique and considerate and that’s what we got. To be woken up by pheasants and lambs, dinner at The Plough, logs being burnt inside and out and amazing views and walks… it was all there.'

'This is a lovely place to stay. Stuart greeted us on arrival and the Loft was warm and cosy with everything we needed including a basket of treats and eggs for breakfast. There are lovely views of the grounds and countryside. Nice walks from the property and Rye is close by car. Would thoroughly recommend. '

'We enjoyed this charming little cottage in the center of historical Rye. It was clean, good wifi (important for the kids) and the host reacted fast on my questions. My only remarks, with 4 people an extra comfortable chair would be welcome and we prefer a larger double bed. The short term parking in front of the cottage is convenient to drop off your luggage, there are many longer term car parks only a couple of minutes away. With the beach of Amber, the nature reserve and also Hastings...

'We spent lovely weekend in Rye staying in this cosy and comfortable cottage in the perfect location on Mermaid Street, close to the restaurants and bakeries on the High Street, and the fabulous Kino cinema.'

'Beautiful location in the heart of the East Sussex Countryside. An idyllic treat set in stunning surroundings with personal and sole use of a hot tub and indoor swimming pool.Warmly welcomed by Karen on arrival.Blackthorns is spotlessly clean, has everything you could possibly need.Eggs, milk, biscuits, tea & coffee all supplied.We will definitely be returning and our adult children too.Thank you once again Karen & Peter for our Wonderful stay.'

'We spent a family weekend away for my wife’s birthday. Plenty of room and comfortable for all of us. Great enclosed rear garden for the dog . Tne property had everything we needed although a few bits maybe need upgrading it was absolutely fine for a short break. The beach’s was just a couple of minutes away and absolutely stunning. The only downside I would say is the surrounding area which was very run down . All in all we had a nice stay ! '

'We stayed at Buttercup Cottage for four nights. It is located 5 mins drive from Rye town centre in a quiet, private location with allocated parking. The studio is spacious and the facilities are excellent for self-catering. We also ate twice at Layla's, a turkish restaurant, which is highly recommended. The town gets busy in the holiday season so you may need to book. The cottage also has a very helpful guide for visitors with lots of tips and advice to improve your stay. The shower extractor...

"After changing our room we had an excellent stay. Please note that if you book two single beds and a walk-in shower, you will not stay in the old part of the hotel. That part dates from 1600 and is really beautiful with its history. Very friendly staff and an excellent breakfast. Highly recommended."
