'This hotel is always welcoming. I like the peace of the location and the absence of the big chain feel. Staff are like family and hotel has character. This stay over Xmas was enjoyable and provided a good base for family visits. Breakfast is legendary and a great start to the day. ( I have one breakfast credit I will be back to claim 😊) Bed was comfortable and shower was good those are the big asks. It has a small bar area that is quaint. The only improvement would be some type of evening...

'My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The Cannon room is beautiful with a stunning bathroom which housed a large roll top bath and double shower. The his and hers sinks were well appointed and stylish. The mattress was too soft for our liking however this is a matter of opinion and others may like it. We had a delicious meal at the restaurant at the hotel and were impressed with the presentation and service. The staff were very professional, polite and helpful and made us feel welcomed...

'Upon arrival at 13.45, our room was immediately available. The room was spacious with a large and comfortable double bed and a modern bathroom with power shower. The hotel was clean and spotless throughout and the staff were uniformly friendly and efficient. Highly recommended '

'Personeel is vriendelijk bij aankomst. Kamer is ok, maar bedden zijn klein en slecht. De douche is het grootste minpunt. Hier komt (bijna) geen water uit. Toen we dit melden zeiden ze geen sorry, maar dathet wellucht komt doordat ze leidingen aan het vervangen waren. Al met al geen aanrader'

'Excellent team including Mandy on reception who explained we’d booked a room in The Grange (separate building), when we asked she offered an upgrade for a small extra fee, to the main house and showed us her favourite room (gorgeous view of park & ducks behind). Sanya in the restaurant was excellent- food was superb too. Advil at breakfast was great. Lovely comfortable room. Very happy. Thanks team! '
