Wonderful Week-end Getaway!
This was a great mini-vacation out of town! The house was well stocked, great location and truly did have the oldtime charm of a biscuit box in Newfoundland. I have already told friends about this place and would stay here again! Loved it.

Quaint getaway in Newfoundland
We loved the charming quaintness of this home--low ceilings, squeaky floors... you'll really feel like you stepped back in time! Another huge plus is that it's walkable to a really beautiful seaside trail with sweeping views. One word of warning is that you're located right on a major road. We didn't find the traffic noise disturbing, and you still have a great view of the sea, but FYI as it's probably not ideal for families with younger children.

Cozy Getaway
My friend and I had an absolutely lovely time in November. A perfectly cozy setup for a nice quiet weekend away. Read the description of the property and you won't be disappointed. Quick and easy communication, lovely location. Be sure to bring grippy socks or other footwear or risk being caught unaware by the slope. We're already looking forward to our next visit.

The property was authentic to the culture of it's surroundings. The ceiling heights are low but part of the charm. Clean, accesible, nice view across the street from the ocean.

Located only an hour or so from St. John's, this cozy and historic ocean-side cottage is exactly as described. It's easy to find, was clean, and has everything you need. A few reviewers have mentioned the low ceilings... They are low on the ground level, but there's more room on the upper floor. I'm 6'3 and had to bend and flex here and there, but that shouldn't stop tall people booking. Walk out to Mad Rocks. Visit the Baccalieu Trail Brewing. Enjoy the fantastic views.

Quaint and Cozy
Great weekend getaway, This charming salt box has kept its historical features with low ceilings exposed beams and a narrow staircase. Its quaint cozy and clean. Great location for day trips to near by communities for shopping and dinning. Hiking trails are steps away with great ocean views. Nikki W

Little Red House in Bay Roberts
This house is in a super great location. It had enough bedrooms. It was very clean and neat and cozy. It has a barbeque and a nice area to sit outside. If we had've been staying longer, we would've used the barbeque.The ceilings were very low, however, lower than we expected. My husband is 6 feet tall and his head touched the ceiling at nearly every beam. I wouldn't recommend this house for tall people. But other than that it was a good place to stay.

Loved the old historic Salt box house with low ceiling and uneven floor. View of the water was good from the nice deck, and was very close to an excellent hiking trail. Communication with the owner was very good. Great wifi was appreciated, helped with trip planning.

Honeymoon Retreat
This cute cottage by sea is the perfect getaway for a honeymoon. Short distance for a wonderful cafe, stunning ocean views and a breathtaking beach. Made us fall in love with Newfoundland more than we thought we would. Highly recommend renting this wonderful cabin!

Beautiful stay
Very nice stay at the Port de Grave chalet. The chalet very rustic, very clean and very well equipped. The area was very beautiful, made several hikes including the beautiful heritage hike which is 400m from the chalet. The village of Bay Roberts is nearby for easy shopping.

Little cottage by the sea
If you are looking for the real feel of back in the day fisherman home this is it. Low ceilings made it feel cozy. Every window has a view of the ocean. Fall asleep staring out across the ocean… I will definitely be back for a little visit. It is a great spot for doing day trips to cute little towns. Make sure you get a hike in while your visiting. It is only up the street and has beautiful scenery and history. The owners were very helpful and also leave plenty of information and maps. Came in very handy when exploring Newfoundland. ❤️

This biscuit box house is the epitome of traditional rural Newfoundland.
The location of this house is just steps from the Shoreline Trail, one of the best kept secrets about Bay Roberts. There is also a lovely deck on the side of the house with a great ocean view. The house makes a great base to explore the beautiful beaches in the area.

Easy to connect with owner and check in. Property as described. Comfortable for a family weekend. Great location near water side walking trail. Older property with the charm and quaintness that comes with that, but it has everything needed and a fabulous view.
