'It was very peaceful there, the backyard has a little fire pit and some chairs which is perfect for star gazing. Sky is amazing. The beach is right down the street, fun for the kids. The place was clean and beds were comfortable. Any questions I had I got a quick reply. We were happy.'

'We had a very relaxing week at the cottage. It was clean, cozy and comfortable with a beautiful view. While our trip was late in the season, we were still able to spend time down at the beach and have a lobster dinner at the picnic table watching the sunset. Owners were great! Checked on us when Hurricane Lee was making an appearance! 3 things not in the listing: No washer/laundry While the view of the bay is beautiful you cannot really access the water … the tides do not permit. They no longer have a Wi-Fi hotspot- which didn’t really impact us but fyi!'

'We loved everything about this rental. It is private, immaculately clean, and horses! It was so quiet and relaxing to watch the sunrise with coffee out on the deck and horses grazing in the paddocks. This home is perfectly situated to be close to Bar Harbor, Acadia Park, Schoodic Point (even better) and yet distant from crowds and heavy traffic. Driving past the Wyman Blueberry fields was amazing! The host was so helpful and we were so grateful for the Schoodic Point recommendation!'

'Thanksgiving turkey dinner with a water view, yes please! Lovely cottage right on Moosabec Reach with a little cove and lots of wildlife right on your doorstep. Warm, comfy setting to come home to after excellent though nippy hikes at nearby preserves. Comfortable bed and living room and a full kitchen we used well since it was off season. Loved it and would return!'

'The house was beautiful, well appointed, the only downside was we were about an hour from Bar Harbor & Acadia. As we were on vaca and due to being right on the ocean it was worth it. Being able to hike right outside the cottage was very convenient. We really enjoyed our stay there. It was just my sister & I so there was plenty of room for us. The loft is definitely for teenagers. We are both over 50 and only went up there once to check it out.'

'As soon as we walked into the Grey Gull it felt like home away from home. Pj and Jeff thought of everything and they are superb hosts. The view from the cottage will take your breath away. 50 feet from the water at high tide and the seaweed draped over the rugged rocks at low tide will be a highlight. The bait shack fixed up so cute and the dock attached is a perfect place for reading/yoga/meditation. Schoodic peninsula is one of the prettiest places on earth with no crowds. Very quiet and...

'We could not have been happier at this house. We stayed here for 3 nights and loved it. It’s quiet, surrounded by woods and on the water. There is a house 100 yards away that you can see, other than that it’s just you and nature. We used the firepit one night and kitchen two nights. We didn’t mind the drive 45 mins into bar harbor each day. Easy and nice drive. Only thing I would change is the beds are a little hard, but that’s personal preference. Don’t be afraid to book this one!'
