Set in the heart of beautiful downtown Beaufort, The Emerald is housed in a thoughtfully restored building that was once home to BoomBears, a beloved toy store designed by renowned local architect James G. Thomas. After nearly a decade of vacancy, the property underwent a remarkable transformation in 2021, including elevating the entire structure and reimagining the space as Beaufort’s first fully self-service boutique hotel.



Our innovative, fully automated check-in experience means there is no traditional front desk, allowing guests to enjoy a seamless, private, and completely contact-free arrival.

PLEASE NOTE: This is a self- service property, there is no front desk or on-site staff. The Rooms are throughly cleaned prior to arrival, but there is no daily house keeping. For guests staying 4 or more nights additional housekeeping and linen service can be provided upon request.
