'The hotel was lovely, it is an old building so a bit quirky our room was at the top and a very clean pretty room, it was in the middle of the heat wave and we asked for a fan and they got us an amazing one to the room within five minutes.
The staff were so helpful and the breakfast was delicious.
Would highly recommended this hotel.'

'We spent a delightful six nights at Victoria House. The owner, Jan, was a gracious and very helpful host. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. No breakfast was served, but there are many excellent breakfast spots within a five minute walk. And the room came with ground coffee and a French press coffee maker, plus excellent snacks. The location within the old city walls and adjacent to the sea is perfect. '

Didn't eat supper in the restaurant because veggie options were limited. Breakfast was awesome. Would definitely stay there again and recommend to anyone wanting accommodation in the area. Very close to Penrhyn castle and Bangor centre.'

'The Slate is a hotel full of charm and warmth, clearly run with love and care. We enjoyed a comfortable and relaxed stay. The restaurant serves delicious food and we were in a great location to enjoy north Wales, with lots to do nearby. Thoroughly recommend! '

'Absolutely beautiful outside space, a well kept garden with superb views over the Menai Strait. Room was lovely, very clean and well maintained; the bed was comfortable and we had a great balcony (again, with views over the Strait). The shower was ok, just about warm enough. The staff were friendly and the service was very good (special mention to Nathan, whether first thing at breakfast or serving us at the bar, unfailingly polite and on the ball).
We enjoyed our stay and look forward to...

'Lovely staff, nice room. Definitely a little warm in the summer, but not unbearable. The restaurant and bar downstairs makes some very tasty traditional food, and the staff is absolutely lovely. It's also only a few steps from the train station, which is a HUGE bonus. I would absolutely stay here again.'
