Please don’t choose this hotel, the terrible service, the property very old and the staff was not friendly. When I ask for early check out, I told receptionist already in the morning , then after they change the other staff, they just very rude told me they don’t know ? Never heard? I need to call Expedia customer service. Also 1:30 PM they told me if Expedia not send email to this hotel before 2:00 PM. They will charge my money for one more night , and not return my deposit RMB500(100AUD), that’s not fair ! If this hotel staff work shift 2or 3 times per day, why they not hand over their work? I told different people four times , and make phone call to reservation3 times!the girl very rude! She told me you must call Expedia before 2:00PM, otherwise we can not return your money and will charge your one more night and deposit. Why the receptionist did not told me in the morning, the worst thing is I spend time from morning to afternoon 2:00 PM. Waste time!

Room was a little dusty. Bathroom is not well maintained. Wash basin was choked. Hotel assistant was not able to fix it and said they will send a plumber in the morning to fix it but never came. So had to deal with a choked and dirty wash basin. Nevertheless, the front desk staff was very helpful and polite in other ways.

Good location
Hotel is about 10min walk from a subway. Bed is comfortable and room is a good size. Check out experience could be improved- service was cheerless and no indication of deposit for room through card charge had been voided. Hope i do not have to do any follow up with regards the deposit charge.

乾淨整潔,早餐選擇多,可步行去雍和宮,附近有麥當勞和超市。坐滴滴去王府井大街只需約20-30元,去週邊景點很方便,會再入住。

The property was okay. It was dated. I understood it to be a nonsmoking building but the floor i stayed on often smelled like cigarette smoke. The daily cleaning service was good. The staff at the front seemed annoyed when I asked about stuff especially those who didnt speak english. The staff that worked in the cafe area were awesome. So helpful when I asked about stuff and did their best to assist me.

Clean comfy convenient
Close to Metro. Restaurants nearby. Easy fast check in. Escorted to elevator by clerk- nice touch. Hotel looks and feels new. Very quiet. Spacious room. Large bathroom with tub and shower. Looks new and luxurious. Most powerful rainshower I have ever experienced. Really felt good after a week in North Korea. Lots of creams, gells, combs, razors etc., very comfortable bed. Did not want to leave it after a few weeks of stiff beds in SE Asia etc., great room service selection. Tasted fine. Mini bar price not too unreasonable. I’d definitely stay here again when in Beijing. Easy quick access to airport via subway.

1日目:浴槽の栓が閉まらなかったので部屋は変えてもらったがその部屋のシャワーのノズルからお湯が漏れていた。両替は現地の方が安いとのことだったがホテルの両替機の手数料が破格の高さだったため両替をやめた(10000円両替で手数料1000円相当)。チェックインの際に物を壊したりしたときのためにとの名目で事前に説明のない1000元を預り金として取られた(この時点で部屋の水が有料であることなど説明一切なし、さらに事前説明のない預り金でクレジットカードを出せと言われこの時点でかなりホテルに不信感しか湧かなかった) 最終日:エビアン(600ml程度)を全宿泊を通じて2本飲んだために150元(日本円で約2600円相当)を初日に支払ったチャージの中から取られた。いくらなんでも高すぎると抗議したが全く取り合ってもらえず。確かに中国語でエビアンに値札のタグはついていたようだが、エビアン自体は決して冷蔵庫の中に入っていたわけでもなく、むしろサービスですと言わんばかりにテーブルの上に置かれていたもの。また前述の通り事前にそうした説明は一切なかったあたりもかなり不親切。 シャワーや浴槽の栓が壊れていたことなどでこちらは迷惑を被っていることなども指摘したが、取り合ってもらえないばかりか挙句の果てには日本語の話せるスタッフに「それは関係ないだろ!!」と怒鳴られ最悪の印象での旅行終了となった。 結論としてはもう二度と泊まりたくないし今後北京に行かれる方にも絶対にお勧めしないホテルと考える。 以上、事実のみを端的に述べた。

Terrible for a Grand Mercure
Staff attitude is terrible, room service would barge in without knocking and front desk does not give a damn. Room-wise, bathroom all moldy in the corners, generally in poor condition. Breakfast is bare basic at best, mainly Chinese style. Nearby is a low rent area with plenty of cheap local eats, nothing else ... Never coming back.
