'The rooms are in a modern build anex and are comfortable, clean and very pleasant. My room and many rooms have a small balcony, air conditioning and great space. We were able to park our motorbikes right next to reception, it felt safe. Breakfast was good and there is a nice restaurant within walking distance by the river ( I think it’s owned by the same people). Staff were friendly and helpful. It’s a quiet town but has a good supermarket. Overall this was a very nice stopover and I’d gladly...

'An exceptional place—we decided to stay an additional day at Moinho do Maneio, canceling a night in the Douro Valley, because we loved the place and its surroundings so much. Anabela and her husband have created such a special retreat, truly a welcome respite after traveling through the busy cities of Madrid and Seville. 'Perfect! Large house, well equipped. Good food in the restaurant and a very nice view and friendly staff. Borrowing a small (peddle) boat is included which is nice to use with children. Staff unfortunately did not speak English and the restaurant inside was not very charming with bright white lights and a strong smell of cheese. Dinner outside was good. '
