We booked half board, food was good, but a bit "dated" very classical and heavy desserts. For a hotel in an outdoor environment the portion size were not very big (I need a bit more then michelin star portion sizes after a whole day out).
Staff level could be a bit higher for full 5 star, some of the staff was bit unexperienced/uncertain.
But these were minor points, will definately come back and was amazing stay

Zeer uitgebreid ontbijt, met alles wat je kan wensen. Vers fruit, smoothies en lokale specialiteiten zoals worst en kazen. Zeker ook dineren ... de kok is een echte kunstenaar ... sterren niveau wat mij betref. Prijs is natuurlijk ook wel naarvanant maar je hebt hier al geboekt, dus je bent wel iets gewend, en met de wellness zet dit hotel natuurlijk de kers op de taart.

'Spinas Gathaus is a real charmer. It's steps away from the train depot, and surrounded by majestic hills. The staff is excellent as are the meals at the hotel restaurant. Don't let the "hostel" label turn you off. It's more like a top flight bed and breakfast. Highly recommended.'

'Week long stay while working locally, very comfy and pleasant stay, room was very large, more like a small apartment, breakfast was good. Very quiet for the number of guests. Wifi in the room was okay but not quite enough for a zoom call so had to move to the reception area where it was fine. Could stream TV though.'
