HET PARADIJS VAN GOLFER! DROOM VAN HET MEER! PERFECTE UITGANG!

Mijn woning ligt aan het Whatcom-meer, het mooiste meer dat ik ooit heb gezien. Lake Whatcom biedt mijlen van kristalhelder gletsjer gevoed water, dat perfect is voor paddle boarding, kajakken, kanoën, jetskiën, zeilen, varen en vissen. De huurwoning is ook perfect voor die winter ski-uitje, met slechts een korte rit naar Mt. Bakker. Vermijd alle dure hotels naast de berg.

Mijn huis kijkt ook uit op het eerste groen van een van de mooiste en mooiste golfbanen in de staat Washington, de Sudden Valley Golf Course. De voorste negen van Sudden Valley is relatief open en vlak en grenst aan de oevers van Lake Whatcom. Fairway-landingsgebieden zijn relatief genereus en de greens zijn groot. De achterste negen volgt echter een heuvelrug met smalle fairways met groenblijvende randen en kleinere greens die meer karakter hebben. (Zie videolink)

De Sudden Valley-gemeenschap biedt activiteiten voor alle leeftijden en vaardigheden, waaronder jachthaven, parken, speelpleinen, tennisbanen, basketbalvelden, stranden, een hondenpark en kilometerslange wandelpaden.

Het recreatiegebied Community Center, beheerd door de YMCA, omvat een ultramodern fitnesscentrum en een buitenbad van olympisch formaat. Sudden Valley is een van de mooiste plekken in het noordwesten.

De foto's die op VRBO worden vermeld, zijn precies wat je gaat huren, namelijk 3500 vierkante meter aan een prachtig ingerichte huurwoning. Biedt een uitzicht op het meer Whatcom en de Sudden Valley golf grof vanuit elke kamer. De verhuur heeft ook 12 voet plafonds, een volledig terras met tuinmeubilair en BBQ. Er is ook een verbazingwekkende, zeer grote mediaruimte met groot filmscherm, XBOX en ligstoelen, grote fitnessruimte met loopband, elliptische en gemonteerde hoekopstelling televisie, twee zeer ruime slaapkamers met inloopkasten, twee volledige badkamers met douches, eetkamer ruimte met hoge tafel en stoelen, woonkamer met bank / slaapbank, loveseat en kleine televisie, keukenhoek met gootsteen, kleine koelkast, servies, drinkglazen, wijnglazen, koffiekopjes, bestek, broodrooster oven, magnetron, koffie pot, grote kookplaat en crock pot. Er is ook een wasmachine en droger voor uw gebruik. Ik bied ook tennisrackets, voetbal en basketbal. Plus strandstoelen, handdoeken, opblaasbaar vlot en noedels voor gebruik aan het meer.

This property is NOT wheelchair friendly. It is down a huge slope and not for people with mobility issues. The owner was curt with our communication. There was no soap available and only used shampoo and conditioners. We went out and bought our own. I had asked the owner if there was soap and she said the cleaners should have left it. With NO communication around 7:30pm in pitch black there is a knock on the sliding door and it’s the cleaner with supplies. While this was very nice, it scared us tremendously and wasn’t appreciated. There were ant traps in one of the bedrooms. What appeared to be droppings near sliding glass door. The carpet has stains. There is not an exercise room as shown in photos. In one of the bedrooms there is a bike and elliptical (no treadmill). I also do not think there is 3200 sq ft of living space. Maybe if the areas that are locked off or if they are including deck area. But actual indoor space I highly doubt is 3200 square ft. The water pressure is very low and one of the toilets has trouble flushing. The movie room wouldn’t work for us. When we reached out we did not get assistance. Finally we figured out the previous person had not set it back from using the Xbox. I have photos is VRBO would like to reach out and see them. This was very disappointing and my communication with the owner around concerns was VERY disappointing and defensive. I requested our 299 cleaning fee refunded or a partial refund and was declined.

Beautiful place, quiet, gorgeous views of the lake/mountains. Able to accomodate 3 of us comfortably and the office area enabled us to work remotely when we needed to. Washer/dryer worked well, small kitchen was enough for what we needed.

We were so thankful to stay with this host! We had an unexpected, last minute need for a local location and Nicole was so quick to respond and allowed us some flexibility on our departure day. Thank you!We were surprised to realize we were only renting the lower level. Admittedly, the information is in the listing, including pictures of the kitchen, which should have tipped me off ;)We had some difficulty with parking, having come with three vehicles for our family. We were requested to not park in front of the garage, which left us parked behind the owners vehicle in the driveway. This resulted in having to coordinate moving vehicles in the early morning, backing up and around a curved hill driveway and into a blind one way street. The hot tub was not filled, as advertised. It would have been lovely to use it, and honestly one of the reasons we chose this listing.The dishwasher was not hooked up to water. We didn’t realize this until our last day. Had I asked sooner, I’m confident Nicole would have corrected it. We didn’t have time to utilize all amenities - the golf course, gym, etc. But we did watch a few movies in the theater room and enjoyed that. We will come back again sometime when we can enjoy this gorgeous place for all it has to offer.

Checking in was easy. The view to the golf course was beautiful & we had a couple of deer around the back of the house. We all enjoyed the theater room. One believes that booking this Vrbo you will have the whole house to yourself because booking doesn’t say it’s a shared space. We never had this happen in our entire experience of booking. Owner was very responsive and the jacuzzi was great. We all had a great time including our dog with lots of space to run.

Good overall

House was nice overall. Hot tub and view were great. Bed in the master was extremely uncomfortable (way too firm, and I prefer firm mattresses but this was extreme), and neither shower had good water pressure. We also had to carry one of our dogs down to the little grassy part of the yard - she's 15 and the hill was just way too steep for her.

Super nice vacation spot

Check in and out was easy. Super big private spot. Had a wonderful time on a mini vacation in Bellingham. Was super irritated at first cuz Media room didn't work. After I got some rest I figured it out. The media room was super awesome. Got to watch movies on a big private theatre. Best part was relaxing during a cold night in the hot tub. Will definitely want this place again if I come to Bellingham

Perfect oasis away from home

The location, peacefulness, and things to do for everyone (including the large off leash dog area and theatre room) was awesome and made the trip away from home absolutely wonderful. perfect spot for a girls night in!

A group of us Moms (4 of us) booked this home for a girls night and we had the best time! It was such a nice place, beautiful view and had plenty of room for us. It was dumping rain so we didn't use the hot tub (one friend did jump in briefly in the morning), but having it was one of the reasons we chose this home. The media room was to die for, and we enjoyed cozying up for a movie night after talking for hours in the comfy living room. Great hostess, I will be keeping this in mind for any future getaways!

Everything someone could ask for!

I wish I could have stayed longer. A beautiful house and a beautiful setting, had everything we needed for our quick overnight. Easy check-in. Everything was super clean, the hot tub was ready to go, and the movie theater was super cozy. The host was very responsive when questions came up. Extremely nice place loaded with amenities! Views are gorgeous and the golf course and lake are amazing. We travel with our dogs and loved having the off leash area so close, not to mention all the hiking areas too. We loved our stay and will book again when we head back to Bellingham.

Great Family Reunion!

The rental property is located on the golf course with lake view and just a short walk to the lakes shore, swings, dog park and boat ramp. It dog heaven down there! Great roped area for swimming. The property is the lower part of a very large house. Separate entrance from the upper rental. Hot tub was great! Best for small family or small group that isn’t planning on cooking a lot, as the fridge, stove and cooktop are small. Theater room is cool! Guests can use the community pool but it does cost a small day fee. You must bring your own towel. The owner is very Friendly and communicative! We would love to return and stay longer.

Summer Stay

Beautiful and relaxing. Two words that describe completely this delightful home. Morning coffee on the patio overlooking a gorgeous golf course and serene lake. This property is very comfortable. We had an issue which the owners fixed promptly. Overall, an excellent experience. The media room was a hit with us. We would consider staying here again. minus 1 star for safety concerns. The walk around the house to the back of the house is a little steep. For someone over 60, this felt treacherous especially when carrying bags. A handrail would greatly improve this. There are also no rails for entering the showers and no anti slip mats in the showers. The 8 AM gardening session was not appreciated.

Please be aware of this property. Make sure to get claim insurance because this owner claims damage when the property was already damaged upon arrival. Hot tub is not covered Gym equipment doesn’t work only the elliptical Only a hot plate so don’t plan on cooking big meals for family. Dog barking upstairs and owner in and out blocking the driveway so you can’t load or unload your belongings. A very steep driveway to walk down to get to their basement. The owner claimed damage so beware and we did nit even use the treadmill other than turn it on because it wouldn’t work. I am sad that there is no honesty in rentals anymore. Even after leaving the property cleaner than when we arrived. I have used VRBO for years and this is the first time I have been disappointed in the ownership of this property. Spectacular!!!

This is everything you would want in a place to stay. Not only was it everything that was promised, but unexpected details were a great surprise. Like the retro sit and spin for the grand kids, along with numerous other great toys they could play with and help them feel at home. Can’t wait to return!!

Fun weekend getaway

The property was a great home base for our weekend away! Great value for the space. Our family really enjoyed the theater room. Everything was clean and things were easy to find. The host was responsive and easy to work with. Our kids really loved the home!

Great home base

We rented this property as a homebase for a short reunion of college roommates. It was terrific, a great place to hang out together with all the amenities we needed. Nicole was very nice and quickly responded to questions.

Bellingham Visit

The property was awesome - right on the golf course, close to downtown Bellingham. The only real problem was lack of communication of where the key was located, no book or instructions on the internet/Wi-Fi connection, how to work the lights in the house (very state-of-the-art system), & what we must do on departure?? Typical guidance that is usually available. Even though The owner lived in the upper level of the house, we did not make contact. I could not get into my VRBO app because I forgot my password & could not get good Wi-Fi reception on my phone. So we made do, had a great visit w/my granddaughter who goes to WWU, & would love to stay at house again w/more communication, which could be my fault as much as anyone else!
