Hockey Room - Sleeps 7, Two TVs & Wooded Trails

This is a unique hotel-style single room with a loft has room for up to seven people. The "Hockey Room" is a themed room that overlooks an outdoor hockey rink in the winter time and play area in the summer time. There are multiple rentals on this property, but they are all spread out in different locations. There are trails to explore on the 20 acre wooded property and you will have shared access to the outdoor hot tub.

There is one main room with a queen bed and a loft space with couches that fold down into queen size beds (Couches will be set up as couches on your arrival. Bedding is provided if you want to use them as beds.). Both rooms have their own Roku TV's with Spectrum cable access. There is a full bathroom with shower. The sink is located on the outside of the bathroom for your convenience.

Perfect spot to explore the area!

Our family thoroughly enjoyed staying at the Hockey Room! Scott was fantastic with communication and the check-in and check-out procedures were very smooth. The rental was immaculate and the kids (8, 11, & 12) loved the loft! The hockey rink was converted to a soccer field during the summer and there was a container of outdoor toys they could use while playing! Location was fantastic for making a day trip to Traverse City or exploring Sleeping Bear Dunes and the surrounding area. Such a beautiful property where you feel connected with nature without being remote. Highly recommend!

The hockey room was such an economical option, we couldn't pass up trying it. We're glad we did. It made a ski trip much more affordable. Just a short drive to Crystal Mountain. My only regret was not planning more time to utilize the ice rink. The host maintained both the rink and the room well. Looked like fun. Brought our skates, just got too tired from skiing to hop out there.

Beautiful spot in woods

We loved the location! Nice secluded area. Super easy check in/out process. Our child loved the loft! The place has everything you need for a relaxing stay, even a firepit and grill, which we didn't have time to use. It could use a more detailed cleaning from time to time, but not that it was dirty. There was some dust on the boxes storing bed sheets and blankets under the main bed, and little of sand on the main bed, but nothing that really bothered us. Overall, great experience and would stay here again if visiting this neighborhood.

In town visiting family. We needed a place to stay for the night. This place was exactly what we needed. My kids 12/15 years, loved the loft!!! Lots of fun for the kids. Sure beats your basic hotel room and it was cheaper!!! Thanks again! We will be back next time we are in town!

Hockey Room Color Tour Getaway

We Loved the Hockey Room perfect for the 2 of us. Not being young we never even went up stairs my BF took a peak & said it would be good for 2 young kids but not adults. We loved the location close to everything & yet never heard or saw anyone else. My BF did talk to the owners & said they were very nice, they left of us alone which was great. Only 2 things that would have made it better 1 is any easy fix they need a small trash can in the bathroom. The other maybe a bigger fix the outside seating area could be bigger & have a small grill or fire-pit close.I understand not having a fire-pit being in the woods. But the deck is small & we love to be outside we would have loved to Grill a couple Steaks. We'll for sure be back but we'll bring a small portable grill to cook outside. Thank You some much for the nice getaway & easy check in & out! If I could still skate I would for sure come up in the winter & take advantage of the ice rink such a cool idea!! Go WINGS!!!

Quaint simple and quiet

We didn’t utilize the location much because it was just a quick overnight spot near the sand dunes as the start of our family vacation but I would stay again for sure. It was very clean and very much what I expected based on the listing. The host was friendly and easy to communicate with. I would recommend this location for smaller families if you’re staying multiple nights (I have 4 kids ages 6, 8, 17 and 20, who had to share one space and they didn’t sleep much but the younger ones didn’t care and loved every minute of it because it was so cool being in a loft). I would still use it for my family of 6 if I come back this way in the future too, just with some different items for the smaller kids. Overall, absolutely loved it and had a great experience!
