'The pool and hot tub were very clean. The rooms were clean and comfy as well. Ample parking and the hot breakfast in the morning was nice to have as well. Conveniently located near Munising and not too far a drive from Picture Rocks Lakeshore.'

'One of the best mid-tier hotels I've stayed in in a long time! Hard to believe it is a Holiday Inn Express. They renovated in November 2025 and spared no expense. The pool and hot tub were huge and very nice. They had a commercial Costa coffee maker in the lobby. The breakfast was fresh and plentiful and included a pancake maker! The rooms were nicely done. They had firm and soft pillows...loved the discrete labeling on the pillow cases. The view of Lake Superior from the breakfast room...

'Loved the waterfront lawn and ability sit by the water and watch the world go by. Only two negatives about the stay. First was dog noise caused by crappy neighbors who went exploring and left their dog to whine/bark the whole time they were gone (don't bring the dog if you're not going to keep it with you). One other item that I struggled with: Each room had two doors - front door to parking lot and back door to lawn/water. Back door had a deadbolt. Front door (which is more exposed)...

'The owners were delightful and friendly and the quant Motel charming, they have really put a lot of effort into restoring this gem. The shower head and water pressure were wonderful the beds comfy and the check in process flawless. The location is great. Walking distance to shops and restaurants and very close to the kayaking tours. 'Probably the worst place we’ve ever stayed. Location was very good, close to beach and pictured rocks. The room itself was extremely gross, the carpet was filthy, the shower was gross, and the ac unit was so loud. We chose to pay at the property and they never asked us to pay, just randomly charged our card a couple days after we left. The price was decent, but I wish we would’ve spent the extra money to stay literally anywhere else. We didn’t spend any time there other than to sleep and it...
