'We started out with one daughter and her family that live in the area. Then they went home and another daughter and her family came to stay. Because the other family lives nearby they came in for some day trips too. We loved the ease of staying, especially check in and check out. Very casual. I’d recommend this place. The location is great too. One fun thing was the comment in the listing that was something about being within sight distance of the lake. Only if you have a drone in your pocket....

'3 couples came up for a relaxing and fun get away and to get our side by sides out on the trails. The house was equipped with everything you would enjoy at home. Plenty of space for 6 adults to enjoy an extended weekend! Would stay again! Host is extremely accommodating and quick to respond. '

'We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay! Breath taking views, quiet and serene. We grilled, had a fire and tested out the sauna! There was plenty to do just outside, but inside were games and whatnot to keep you entertained. We HIGHLY recommend and hope to return!'

'Sarah was available for us at all times. She answered all of our questions and was able to give us suggestions on things to do and places to go! We even wondered when she was ever able to sleep! Erie cabin was just enough for the two of us! We enjoyed watching the fishing excursion boats leaving and coming back with their catches. (Kimars resort offers fishing excursions on site, if you are interested in fishing). If we ever go back to the UP we will definitely be returning! '

'This was our second time staying at the Log Cabin Retreat (2018 with friends, 2025 with family). The cabin has a great location close to the trails and Pictured Rocks. It was well appointed with everything we needed, and we would definitely recommend this place to anyone. '
