'We enjoyed our stay at Mountain Lookout retreat, rooms are clean and well designed, make sure you don't leave food in the room, otherwise you'll get visited by ants. Although it was smokey due to bushfires, our host could tell us what places to visit during our stay, views were less beautiful as in normal corcumstances though.'

'Exactly what we needed for our family catch up'

'Great place to stay will be back Only issue we had was the shower head got all the bathroom wet but the person standing in the shower'

'Would definitely stay here again! Only thing is that the A/C didn’t work properly for us over the weekend. Only worked on fan but not cold or heater unfortunately, especially since it rained over the weekend. But other than that, my stay was amazing!'

'Personeel heel vriendelijk. Kamer was netjes. Bed comfortabel. Op de site stond dat er een restaurant was. Het bleek dat het restaurant gesloten was op de dag dat wij er waren. Hadden we niet op de website zien staan. Vervelend want we hadden ons erop verheugd. Het zou overigens mooi zijn dat de buitenruimte wat meer aangekleed wordt. Nu ligt er overal onderhoudsvrij grind.'

'I don't really want to do a review as I would like to keep this place a secret. A fantastic little park with excellent amenities and right on the river. Will be back for sure!'

'Wonderful property- wonderful host. Will return one day to this lovely place!'

'The property was not cleaned to standard.'

'A beautiful oasis'

'We had a lovely overnight stop in this restful and peaceful cabin. It was a beautiful place to wake up to - the property is lovely. The cabin had everything we needed. We loved all the signage tastefully displayed - which made our stay easier.'

'Oliver was a wonderful host - fresh home-baked bread, butter and milk and a basket of goodies left for us, as well as a welcome sign! My 10 year old immediately felt welcome and excited to be there! The river view from the bedroom was magic in the morning. Bathroom was clean with a lovely shower. We came and went as we pleased and felt very safe. Lots of modern gadgets in the kitchen and a big TV. We enjoyed a few games of Snakes and Ladders before bed. Oliver offered plenty of local knowledge....

'Private. Tranquil. Outdoor bathtub overlooking the mountains. Farm fresh eggs and bakery sourdough on arrival. Amazing fireplace. We had a wonderful time!'

'Very relaxing comfortable accommodation in a beautiful setting.'

'Absolutely loved our stay here. Beautiful house and the owners were so easy to deal with. Highly recommended 10/10 for us as a family who travelled from New Zealand'

'Grounds were in need of a little love.'

'Amazing tranquil location and homely cabin. Perfect mix of adventure and relaxation. Such a comfortable stay and a pleasure to come back to after exploring the beautiful town and national parks!!Thanks for sharing your stunning part of the world. We had the best time here and will be back.'

'Loved the rural aspect of the cottage. The surrounding bird life was spectacular. The cottage was spotless when we arrived and the surrounding gardens well manicured. The cottage has a large main bedroom, with ensuite, and an adjoining bedroom with 2x single beds. Located close to Bellingen but far enough out of town to escape the clutter of the busy little town. I would love to stay at the cottage again the next time I visit Bellingen. RK'

'Our family enjoyed our stay at the property, lovely surroundings so peaceful, the frogs are very vocal the grand children loved it'
