'De douche was lastig in te stellen. Wel heet genoeg'

'Our stay at this hotel was very comfortable. All staff were friendly and helpful at all times. Our room was a standard room at the top of the house and it was very clean with a nice ensuite and a comfortable bed. The decor and furniture enhanced the room giving plenty of space to put our clothes and personal effects. Food was very good, we had a three course dinner and the food was delicious. Breakfast was also very good with a good and varied choice on the menu. Toast was available on...

'No checking in service at all. No prior instructions were given. We were helped into our apartment by the lady who owns the jewellers downstairs. We were woken at 6.45am on a Sunday to the sound of scaffolders and a traffic management company setting up to commence install scaffolding at 7am on the building we are in with no prior communication from the host this would be happening otherwise I wouldn't have booked there. By 8am there was a workman outside my first floor bedroom window so I had...

'Wat een geweldig hotel is dit!!! De ruime kamer en het super bed. Het personeel en het ontbijt. Er is gewoon niets dat beter kan, sorry....'

'Purpose built Leveret Lodge offers absolute peace and quiet being situated over a detached garage - no noisy neighbours! The location suited us perfectly for exploring both Essex and Suffolk and our hostess was most welcoming. We enjoyed a splendid stay.'

'Lovely house and lovely stay. Marked down the checkin process as unfortunately the owner forgot to leave the keys where agreed. Had to call them and to arrange spare set. But appart from that lovely cottage in a great area '

'Spacious, loads of bathrooms, very high standard Fantastic location'

'Beautiful character cottage in an idyllic setting, we would happily stay here again. '

'Strange situation because we had a confirmation. '

'Needed 6 seats in outside area, hand towels and bath mat otherwise good location and lovely scenery'

'Loved the setting totally secluded'

'Long wait at check in. Airco downstairs, but room hot and no airco. Check out time 11.00. But at 10.30 they said we had 10 minutes. Airco unit of downstairs next to room window…. Unbelievable. A lot of noise. Awfull service of front desk. Mostly not occupied and you have to call an outside number with your cell. Best hotel of Colchester. What a Joke. '
