'Absolutely adorable little cabin nestled directly on the waters edge. A minutes walk from the boat ramp and dock. Very homey feeling, nothing fancy, but more than enough to enjoy a weekend away with the family. It’s close to Shakertown village, and only 45 minutes from Lexington. We spent two nights in “big cabin” the kids loved it. Good WiFi connection, YouTube, and Netflix available. The owner was available and friendly. 'Amazing property! Beautiful old southern manor which has been maintained true to its heritage. We felt privileged to stay in this beautiful home. The surrounding grounds are meticulously cared for and offer a peaceful, beautiful base for a Kentucky Bourbon Trail trip. We were 11 long-time friends (five couples and one single) gathering in Kentucky for three days. The home and carriage house provided ample room for sleeping, cooking and socializing. 'They thought about all the details. Had lots of little extra thoughtful items. The decorations were adorable. The deck was awesome, big and lots of seating available. The surrounding trees around the deck gave kind of a canopy but you could still see the lake. They also had a very cool fire pit table on the deck. We would definitely stay here again. 'We thoroughly enjoyed this house. Top notch from owner communication, cleanliness, location….. Right in the middle of most distillery locations. Just a short drive east or west and you’re there. We enjoyed it so much we extended our stay a night. There’s no doubt we’d stay here again. You can select this property without any hesitation. '
