'The 'Residence & Conference Centre' is a college dormitory turned into a (partial) hotel. The "suite" we reserved for a one-night stay was a very basic 2+ person dorm room, best suitable for couples or people (friends, family members) who prefer to have a room for themselves (since there were two separate bedrooms). 'We had some extended family in town for graduation. The size of the property worked well for our group. We got locked out of a room and the host came by with a key. '

'Nice private location. Very small cabin. Bring a propane camping stove to boil water and do some cooking. Lots or rubbish in area immediately surrounding the cabin. Could use a clean up. In a nice forested area. One tick on our clothes.'

'Worked just fine. Problems were … no soap in the bathrooms no ice in the ice box. No ice trays for the price of the unit. I feel that they should have a few more little amenities. Otherwise it was fine.'

'The property is affordable and has everything that I needed, such as the kitchen. There is a stove, a refrigerator with freezer and fridge, pots, a kettle, plates, bowls, spoons, forks, knives, a cutting board. It is very convenient for my family as we bought Cheerio for our breakfast so we can use bowls and cutlery. There are also a washer and dryer. The host is very friendly as well. She also gave me some berries from her garden. I will rebook this place again next time. '

'The house was double booked. When we showed up to the house there was already people staying in it, and we had to scramble at 10PM to find a hotel room for 8 people. Called the owner and he advised us that he doesn't even have the house listed on VRBO. Book with caution!!!'

'This property was exactly what we needed. It is exceptionally clean, well appointed, and very easy to find.We stayed in the month of July, which was very warm, but the air conditioning was amazing. Please note that guests do not control the temperature of the property.'

'We enjoy our stay at this rental. The host was very responsive to our questions. The beds were good. The double bed was an easy to use air mattress. Linen was provided with plenty of towels. Home was very clean. Pictures are accurate depiction of the rental. '

'We were 3 families of 6 with 2 children and 2 dogs. Lots of room for everyone to be comfortable. Beautiful views on a quiet lake, although swimming was not possible due to lots of weeds. We had a very hot week and a blowup pool was provided for the kids which they loved! Close to many amenities and activities. All in all an excellent family vacation!'

'We had a great stay at Silver Birch Suite! Everything was as advertised, a lovely space with comfortable beds and couches and a kitchen with everything we needed. But, it was the extra touches that made us feel so welcome! Snacks, coffee/tea, water, a guide to the area created by Harry and Debbie, and a sign welcoming us personally to the space were just a few of the extras. We would definitely stay again. '

'Property is spacious and beautiful quiet location in the country. We had a large group stay for a wedding and has plenty of space. The host was great with accommodations. The only complaint we had was pool was not clean but it was to cold for us to swim anywaya.'

'We enjoyed our stay at this location and it was nice to see individual locks on the rooms. The kitchen was well equipped and the place was very clean. Our only complaint is how many stairs there were, but other than that it's a 5/5 for us.'

"I did like the location of this hotel. it was right downtown Hamilton. Very near the Jackson Square mall. And it has a (expensive) parking garage. And some of the staff where very nice,polite and helpfull. But that was about it in a positive way. Now for the downsides: They don't accept cash, till you say: I only have cash... A hotel is not a car rental. Hotels should accept cash. Period. There are only 2 elevators for 16 floors. Very long waiting time for the elevators. Imagine when 1 elevator is broken... We had to experience that. The offered breakfast is just plain horrible. Can't be called a breakfast actually. Never ever had such a bad breakfast in any hotel anywhere. No bacon and eggs, no fried eggs, missing plain simple things like:cheese, ham, bacon, sausages etc,etc. There was not even processed 'Gouda-cheese'...Croissants and bread as old as your grandma. The breakfast is just plain horrible. I would have never booked this hotel as I had known about this horrible breakfast. I cannot imagine Hilton attached its name to it. For most people and me: Breakfast is the most important meal of the day! If you like your breakfast: Avoid this hotel! I won't count the huge amounts of chlorine in the water (in the rooms and in the pool) or the bad quality of the coffee, because that's also in other hotels in Hamilton Canada. I will NOT return to this hotel."
