'First time in the Ozarks, so cannot compare to other hotels. But I can say the majority of reviews I read on other hotels mentioned less than ideal cleaning standards. Schmidt’s Creek was SPOTLESS, the staff was extremely friendly and the to go breakfast was exactly what we were looking for. Highly recommend.'

'This place was filthy and roach infested. Towels and bed linen were soiled and stained. The rooms were dirty and to call it. A hotel is an understatement. It resembled and felt like a trashy motel. I was supposed to stay for three nights, but I checked out after the first night. I reluctantly checked in, but I needed a place to stay. I have yet to receive my credit back for the two nights that were paid for, therefore I will be disputing two nights charges with my credit card company.'

'The parking lot needs repair and the room needed a few repairs but it served its purpose for our stay.'

'The cabin was so cute and cozy with everything you could need. The owners are so kind and gave me a personal tour on the way toy cabin and explained how everything worked. There are grills and fire pits for guests to use and so many activities that you don't even need to leave if you don't want to. Great company in the other occupants and private lake access. All you could need and more! We will be back :)'
