'Lovely place to stay, walk down the street to watch fairy penguins arriving home from a day at sea. Short walk to pub and best scones at Touchwood Cafe, good for breakfast as well.'

'The cabin was very private and overlooked the lake. Bed was very comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked with cooking equipment. Nice ground area to relax, explore and walk around. It was about a 5/6 minute drive into Stanley. '

'We stayed in the studio cottage. It is with good ambiance and very spacious unit with full stocked kitchen facilities. The sea view is excellent and all made our stay very pleasant. There was a recent ownership transition and check in was through a phone call. We booked another unit originally with welcome gift and that was changed and we only found out after checking in. The new owner called and apologised and promised some compensation but never heard again. There was no instruction on WiFi...

'Very welcoming open hosts who offer lovely facilities and great guest care. When i jokingly added "boerewors" (unique South African sausage) to the breakfast menu selection, the host drove to Burnie to source some (not easy to find) and lo and behold it appeared on my plate for breakfast! Fantastic service - above and beyond!'

'Uninterrupted views of the ocean. Loved the barrel fire pot on the veranda. Didn't need it, but just lovely to be out there. Great place for an extended family to hang out, beachcombing, fishing or just sitting with a wine and a good book. Its got it all, and all the things you need if the weather gets wild and woolly.....didn't happen in our case. '

'This property was in a great location. We hardly used the car during our stay and enjoyed walking everywhere. It was so well decked out and had everything we could possibly need. So many lovely pictures and personal touches. I would definitely love to stay here again!'

'Very nice B&B in scenic, peaceful town of Stanley. Rhonda & Chris are gracious hosts who provide excellent service and maintain the facility in pristine condition. The amenities are modern and the tasty breakfast is served in a cozy dining room. We enjoyed our stay at The Ark and would have loved to stay longer '
