'Leuk motel op de route langs The Great Ocean Road . Vriendelijk ontvangen en ruime kamer'

'Has been a few years since staying here so I wasn't sure what to expect. Upon arrival I'm greeted nicely and advised of a room upgrade!!! I go to my assigned room and that's when things get a little sketchy. Approach room and door is ajar - hmm not the usual thing to expect. Should I enter with caution and taser on standby? I decide - hey this is Mt Gambier you only live once. Well, the door requires a good old fashion slam to shut - maybe that's why it's ajar in the first place. Upon...

'The room was not as expected. Only the new fresh and renovated rooms were used in booking sites. We were in fact, in an old motel style barely renovated room. It had a dreadful stale smell/odour; filthy windows, old shower and amenities and not many redeeming features. Very very disappointing'

'OK, so it's a real prison. And we were staying off-season, and by chance we were the only guests there that night... and the check-in was all automatic. So the whole thing was kind of surreal as we walked around the prison yard, reading the signs about historic prison life etc. You REALLY get the vibe of being in an old gaol, so don't stay there if you're going to get freaked out by things like that. Beds were comfortable, room had everything we needed, but again remember: prison vibe. On the...

'Er is niet veel te beleven in Mount Gambier, voor een tussenstop tussen Adelaide en melbourne is het goed. Ruime kamer, alleen onze kamer te ver weg van receptie en dus slechte wifi. Kamer verder okay met parkeren voor de deur, diverse restaurants in centrum wel auto gebruiken om er te komen.'

'Het was netjes'

'We only stayed for 1 night on the way to Adelaide but the hotel was excellent. Our room was huge, the food in the hotel was of a high standard and the staff couldn't have done enough to help us.'

'De kamer was netjes'

'Clean, nothing to complain about!'

'Heerlijke omgeving, lekker eten in de buurt. Mooie plekjes om te bekijken. Een aanrader'

'Clean room. We were in deluxe. Good value .'

'Good'

'Apart hotel uit 1880 met maar 3 kamers en beneden een gokhal. Stukje van het centrum en niet op loopafstand van het meer. Eten matig, maar kamer groot en hoog. Geen deur naar badkamer/wc. Ontbijt zelf klaarmaken want er is in de ochtend geen personeel (gokhal tot 4.00 open, geen overlast). Goed kingsize bed. '

'Zeer mooi authentiek hotel, zeer ruime kamer en mooie originele badkamer.'

'The motel was ok for one night. Clean but outdated. Convenient in the centre of town, easy to find and parking at the motel.'

'We were blown away by our stay in this wonderful property. It is small boutique hotel which has been immaculately restored by the owners. We had a suite consisting of a bedroom, bathroom and sitting room. It was well equipped, warm and comfortable. We had dinner and breakfast at the adjacent Commodore Hotel and the food was very good. This is one of the best places we have stayed in on our Australia trip.'

'Room is good clean updated mattress little uncomfortable grounds needs a tidy up some weeds grass over grown in parts not fancy'
