'Incredible view and communication with property owners make this stay a perfect weekend getaway. The lodge itself was clean, nicely spaced out for everyone to enjoy privacy or to come together for conversation on the deck overlooking the lake or the fire pit. The town is a few minutes away with an ice cream shop, hardware store and an outstanding grocery store with fresh cut meat available if you’re looking to grill/cook. Overall, I highly recommend this rental for a couples or family getaway. '

'This house was great for our girls weekend! A lot of bunk beds, but we did our best to make it work. Some of our group are older women and it was not safe for them to adventure to a top metal bunk bed, but we were aware of that when we booked. Not a negative, just something to consider. The lake is very "mushy" and not really swim worthy, but a nice view! The indoor pool is AMAZING! The host is wonderful, very responsive and understanding. 'Our stay at the Sasquatch Cottage was excellent. The décor was creative and full of character, with fun Sasquatch touches throughout. My daughter especially enjoyed the swing out front, and the fire pit—with plenty of wood provided—made for relaxing evenings. The location was ideal, close to the Leota trails and with easy access to the lake. A stylish, cozy retreat that made for a memorable getaway.'

'This is the cutest little spot I almost don’t want to give it such a good review so it doesn’t book up too soon. We want it all to ourselves. The beach is great. The lake is clean. The creek was our favorite spot. Everything was as it was promised. The hostess was great and we got to meet on the way out. Definitely recommend. '

'The cabin was perfect for our weekend getaway. The decor was very nice and made it very cozy. I would definitely book again. There is so much detail and thoughtfulness touches to the cabin. We did not have time to use the fire pit but it looked very cute and everything was clean and the bed was very comfortable. '

'We had 10 adults and two children (under 3) and this property checked all our boxes for space, privacy, access to 'safe' swimming water and boat access. Truly a perfect spot for a large group that wants to hang together.'

'We had a great time. Plenty of space for everyone to sleep, hang out, and every game imaginable was available. Great back deck and a yard that's great for throwing a ball or a frisbee or anything else. Little beach space perfect for younger children and the kayaking on the lakes is great. Easy to get to and grocery nearby makes cooking for the group easy. Would recommend. '

'It’s a super cute cabin. Exactly as described. The neighborhood was really quiet. It’s conveniently located to all the major amenities in Houghton Lake. I think the neighbors were a little too close for my taste. Overall great experience. I would highly recommend this location. The hosts were super responsive when we communicated. 'Meals out on the deck, hot dogs cooked over a fire, several nice hiking trails nearby. Tricky to find, but clean, secluded, relaxing and comfy bed. Has fridge, stove, microwave, coffee maker, washer & dryer. Didn’t use all those myself, but someone else may who reads this review!'
